The color of the DoT flying text need to be in a different color.

Is there a way to change the DoT flying text to a different color? I would like to be able tell the different between my DoT damage and the damage being done to the tank. Both my DoT flying text and the Damage of the enemy is red, and it gets really annoying.

I agree. I feel like purple would be agood choice. Also, bring back the 1.0 font as an option!

purple would indeed be a good colour for DOT damage. makes sense to me. Red is raw damage, green is healing, purple for dots :D

Isn't it like this right now: red is enemy/DoT damage, green for heal, and blue for other people damage?

Orange or Yellow would work as well if purple is too similar to the blue of other people's damage.

Very good suggestion, I'm sure it should be pretty easy for them to implement.

First things, add dot damage to the combat log, then allow us to change colors of specific damge :)

Orange would look to similar to red and yellow would blend into the background on stages like snowcloak. Purple sticks out.

It wouldn't matter right now anyway. All the dot damage being done to the target is added into one big number that flashes by. There's literally no way to tell how much of that is yours and how much is another player's. Changing the color of the text is not even something they could implement unless they also broke the dot damage out to its separate components, which is something I sadly don't see them doing.

Isn't your DoT separated from another player's DoT fly text already? I would see a DoT damage of 35 flash across my screen when a BLM use thunder and the text would be in blue, so I assume that's another players DoT.

Blue text is raw damage by another player. Thunder has an initial hit and than the DOT effect takes place. Only DOTS that doesn't do that is Shadow Flare and the ninja one. Basically any dot that isn't applied on the boss but on the floor.

So like Viridiana said, that the dev team would have to separate each players DoTs fly text before changing it to another color. And I'm guessing coding like that isn't less than 3 lines of code.
