Please consider L1 + Triangle and X for cycling party list
One of the problems facing controller users, especially healers, is cycling through the party list while running. This problem is exposed in Leviathan Ex during spinning dives and water bombs where parties members need attention from the healer while simultaneously having do dodge mechanics. A controller user has to stop running, take their thumb off the analog stick, cycle through the list, cast a spell on the target, replace the thumb on the analog stick, and continue running. The alternative is to awkwardly use the right index finger for cycling - this works fairly well for cycling up, but cycling down is a bit of a problem. The game already implements an ingenious scheme for cycling through monsters on the screen on controller (L1 + R2 or R1 + L2). Can you please look into extending the L1 control scheme for cycling up and down using triangle and X buttons? It should be a hard select.
Square, look what I've had to resort to
radioactive_lego, thanks for your suggestion but there is just way too much sacrifice with it. But it gave me the idea to just devote 8 buttons to each party member.

If L1 + Triangle and X are already mapped to targeting filters, as Niwashi said, can you at least implement macros - /target <prev> and /target <next> would really be helpful. I do not have a "claw" like Yumi Umi. I need my left thumb for movement. The less I take it off the analog the better. Now off to make my parties suffer until I have this button layout hardwired...
