Yep happen to me too :(
Thawt system needs to be removed anyways people are badly miss using it
Happened to us, tank harassed us all, we kicked, rejoined, every time she rejoined she would keep spouting more verbal abuse. During the strings of rejoins we just gave up and didn't refill our ranks for 10 mins and in that time we all gave detailed reports to the GMs. One of the DPS a few days later said that he got personally contacted by a GM and said they were looking seriously into her behaviour. Justice served, hope she got a ban.
As a fix I suggest that the same person cannot rejoin the same party via join in progress after being kicked.
Unfortunately you only hear half the story with these things. If somebody is being abusive report them and then it's up to GM's what action to take if any needs to be taken. In many cases people report because of petty arguments they have and the ones doing the reporting can often be the people in the wrong like they didn't do something well and the other person got annoyed. The problem often starts when 3 people are from the same group with 1 random and they gang up on them and when that person fights back they report them.
False everytime i have reported to SE about harassment in a dungeon... they have contacted me personally if i was reachable.
As for the topic they really need to change it to that person can not join a pt they were kicked from. Only reason they would reenter was to harass more.
Actually they do contact you, though it might depend on the GM. Two of my friends were fishing at Cape Westwind, i think for one of those Quest Fishes, while some guy was dragging all the mobs to them and getting them killed by the AOE. They reported him and so did I. My friend's got a message from the GM saying that they will look into and take the necessary actions. I got a message from a GM that they can't intervene unless the person I was reporting harassed me directly, and advised me to tell me friends to report it themselves.
Um... Yes, they do. I reported a player for harassment and I was contacted during ST. The GM didn't tell me what they did, but they did say that they were looking into it as was indicated by Ignnis. I don't know about the 'few days later' thing. I got contacted almost immediately, and the GM asked for further info. Ignnis never said what was done, the GM's would not tell you that, but to say that they are seriously looking at it? Sure. They may have said something to the effect that they take this sort of thing seriously, but I remember that the GM that contacted me and the conversation went on for at least 7 minutes.
I'm going on what my friend told me, I met him online a few days later which is what I meant but I didn't type that coherently sorry.
I have also been contacted about things from GMs in the past, was someone in CT demanding I leave so my need roll on loot would be void.
GMs don't actually really do anything about harassment. I've had a huge harassment problem and they dismissed it because they said I was not involved when I clearly was. aside from that comment, There should be a system that prevents kicked players from rejoining the same party twice in a row. I remember once that I had to kick a player because of how rude they were being only for them to come back angrily and more hostile. Sometimes, the kick button is used for a good reason.
Seen this crap happen to me as well, during a Main Scenario Roulette. It was a tank who kept doing the manderville dance. He wouldn't attack mobs, wouldn't fight, wouldn't OT, just stood there and did the manderville. We kicked him, and he instantly comes back in. So another player initiates kick....4 seconds later, same damn guy. Then I initiate kick. Same dude insta shows up. It's ridiculous.
Why are party leaders automatically choosing to find new members immediately?
