you mean an Ultima v3? But no Weapon went against Levi/Ramuh/Shiva
Spoiler alert.. amirite
Isn't it more likely we would fightfor 2.5? Or assuming they want to stick strictly to primals, we would have something light or dark related if they want to keep having each fight a different element. Either way, unless it is a Minstrel's aballad it probably won't happenmidgardsormr
There's always the lore potential we could seeas a future Ultima-Like encounter, possibly using all of the existing 'classical' Primals.Omega (Weapon)
I would like to see an Ultima extreme, but it should stay true to the lore. There are more abilities from Ifrit/Garuda/Titan it could utilize, and more Ultima-exclusive things it could pull from as well. Ultima's music is one of my favorite tracks in the game (right there alongside primal songs, of course).
Rather Garlean Generals Extreme or Minstrel's Ballad: Praetorium.
Didn't it say that the minstel to get the Ultima HM played it up a lot? What's to say he couldn't just make an ever crazier story? Wouldn't break lore, he'd just be lying. Maybe you tell him about your trials with Levi, Ramuh, and Shiva and he tacks a new part onto his original ballad.
As for the idea of this fight, NO PLEASE GOD NO I HAD ENOUGH TROUBLE WITH THE MINSTREL'S BALLAD
That one's already been mentioned when you go through the story to open up Frontlines, it's the very reason why that the Frontlines is happening, to keep that one from being used like Ultima was. I agree it's more likely, but then if it does wake up then where's the impetus for Frontlines?
Ultima (If this was even a possibility) has been pushed onto the back-burner, simply due to the development cycle.
As more new content comes in, the older-content gets ignored, it's likely that Ultima will take a back-seat as they already added "The Minstrel's Ballad: Ultima's Bane", I doubt they'll add in another further.
The more time they spend on adjusting older fights, the less-time they can spend creating newer content, it's difficult to balance the two.
I really do expect an Omega weapon fight to cap off 2.5, and yeah I can see it 'calling' on all the primals in the process.
I'd much rather Ultima Weapon 2.5 use the exact same primals, just deeper mechanics when using them.
Throwing in some Chirada/Suparna and tornados, Gaols and Searing Wind together in creative ways would make for one ridiculous boss fight.
Honestly I hope Omega doesn't re-use the same mechanics as all the other primals, and I really disliked Ultima because of that. I kinda feel like it cheapened a boss that could have been epic, instead it was just a little bit of everything but master of none. Bit of an anti-climax considering what Ultima previously represented in the FF franchise.
I'd prefer to see a new Garlean dungeon similar in scale to Praetorium and made an end game raid.
Made me a happy kitty when 2.4 started to re-introduce Garleans as a threat again.
