I liked 15 person Behests.

Now it seems nobody does them anymore. Sure, they were a zerg-fest, but in the good way, like Dynamis in FFXI.

Also, with the new lockout, why not just return to starting them from the top of every hour? This way people have time to gather together.

I guess what I'm trying to say is, does anyone else like Behests better the way they used to be? It seems like the changes they've made have pretty much killed off Behests. I can't speak for every server, but whenever I see anyone doing a Behest, it's usually someone soloing, whereas before it was a good way to get group SP.

Do you guys like the changes? What do you think would encourage people to do Behests more?

LS members have complained about the lack of people doing behests since the lockout. I've noticed a lack of people aswell at broken water.

I have basically used them just during leve parties when its about to pop or just pop'd between leves. And even at like R40 or so behest just plain start to suck.

Haven't even tried behest after the new time limit. Seems most don't either because I never see people lined up for behest anymore. As to get people to do behest again? Get rid of the time limit.

They should just finalize alliances & auto-group everyone participating (if they leave it turned on).

It would be nice if they abolished the time limit & had behests take place every 10-20min with multiple battle-wardens who are able to take different paths so they don't overlap.

If SE is STILL so content (see:ass backwards) on timers, then at least only apply the timer to the Aetheryte associated with the last behest you did. Not all Behests.

The game systems still feel so amateurish & ancient. It's mostly these kinds of restrictions that keep many people from even giving FF14 a chance.

I made that thread to gauge how much want there would be for it. It hasn't really picked up much steam though, so I'm assuming people aren't interested in large groupings with the way the system works right now. I'm hoping that changes after party/mob mechanics are hammered out and real end-game content emerges.

it seems the timer has killed behest. Ive been doing horizon solo, and that used to be the hardest one to get into.

The amount of sp from behests was adjusted in 1.18a. Anyone have any data? I tried to play last night but my son didn't want to sleep. Then when he did i was exhausted.

I like doing behest. I would do them still but nobody does them. It's a change of mobs and any opportunity to group up with somebody makes me happy

Exactly. Behests were my first grouping up experience in this game, and I think they could be made to serve as an introduction to partying for low-level characters rather easily. (Just adding a tutorial quest or sidequest that starts toward the beginning of the game that introduces new players to them.)

And again, they need to find a way to make people want to do Behests again. If that's eliminating the timer, I'm all for it.

Light Party and Full Party buffs are cool enough, but what about additional bonus for the longer you remain in a party? Either SP-wise or increasing the stats over time of the party buffs, S-E could add an additional incentive to stay in a group. Then maybe people would stay together after Behests and kill monsters in the wild, just as the original dev team originally envisioned. Just a thought.

Did a rank 45 behest in Bald Knoll and got 4.5k for Speedy run, 4.7k for neglected run, and then 7.1k for both.

rank 20 camp gave me a 2k bonus.

15 man behests were fun, but after awhile it got really bad when you had people randomly attacking anymob they see fit.
Alot of people never noticed, but any damage done during a behest or leve on a non red texted mob, the mob you attack will yield less xp. based on the damage you have inflicted. This got hard to control when you have 14 other people trying to blow up everything they see. It was nice to get it back to a managable size. There were times when one person could really mess up the xp of a behest, not to mention when a low rank or a high rank sneaks into one and offsets xp. having asmall number and more frequent behests really helps. As for the timers, If you could only do one an hour from the beginning why is it a problem now that you can only do one an hour.

An easy fix would have been, "You cannot attack that target while under duty."

As for the timer, exactly. Why bother changing it to 30 minutes if you're still only able to do them every hour? Might as well eliminate the timer and make them start from the top of every hour again.
