Tear your hair out moments

I'm rather curious to hear about the times when folks have literally wanted to tear their hair out in frustration with this game :o

I'll start us off.
Today, during 2 ST runs all of my lots had been less than 10 on EVERYTHING. The last boss drops the Wind-Up Onion Knight and I roll a 98! I'm sitting here happy that I've finally got a decent lot and on the minion no less! :D

I think alot of the ninjas are pulling their hair out to all the Naruto Jokes, and all I can do is smile :)

Doing turn 9.
We're finally getting past Heaven's Fall.
Suddenly someone hits us all with the fireball when they were supposed to move.
We die.
Total silence.
*Screams internally*

"Darn Myth Ninja is gone. Whats this antique armor?"
*tosses Arms and Helmet from Snow cloak*
Forum User: You can turn in the Antique armor for myth gear. *gives location*
Me: ? *goes and sees Ninja Myth gear* o_o *realizes I tossed away two pieces* ....*tries to farm them, gets out rolled by a few numbers Every. Single. Time. Also failed to get a chest piece.(Guy who was kissing the floor in snowcloak in almost all fights got it.)*
*screams into pillow*

No one to blame but myself. v_v I wish I knew eariler. Can't believe the info passed me by.
And now each piece has been a i90 accessory or a crafting mat. Dx
Wish you could get at least the antique pieces from Hunts.

Took seven runs of ST today to win a single solitary Sands of Time.

I need three more. =.=

44 runs of T4 before winning something.

Doing leves and then being killed by FATE mobs. This can be quite irritating sometimes.

Some of my group couldn't make it to raid, so we grabbed a few friends and farmed T9 instead of progressing in final coil. Might not sound frustrating to some people but it was to me. People only wanted to do it for vanity. Ten kills later, the gear they wanted didn't drop. We basically just wasted time on old content for nothing. I'm not mad any more. I think most of my anger stemmed from disappointment more than anything.

Determining Main Tank in raids.

Me: "Hey, who wants to MT?"
Other Tanks: "You can."
Me: "Alrighty!" *hits Ready Check, rearing to pull when Ready Check finishes*
Random Bard: *pulls*
Me: "Come on, what are you doing?"
Random Players Other Than Bard: "Stop whining and get in the game!"
*repeats ready check and Bard pull every single boss or group of enemies in the run*
*Fourth chest drops from Xande*
*Bard gets Throne Gem*

*ragequit*

Anytime I'm playing as Drg in a duty, and tank starts dancing around mobs/boss because they're bored, making it impossible to land positionals.

*sends retainers out for a long gathering venture*
They both come back with HQ Coeulur meat
*does it for 10 days straight*
They both come back with HQ Coeulur meat. Every time.
75 HQ meat worth 10 gil each.

Some people take the ready check itself as a declaration that everyone is ready. I've seen this happen more often than not...

Every time my group wipes to things we shouldn't be wiping to anymore.

A recent ST story: see a 'bonus for completion' message at the start and ask my party if anyone's new. A BLM responds he is. I explain the first boss. He uses odd English and says some funny things during the fight, but I don't think too hard. Says some weird things at the trash pull. I explain the next boss, acts weirder, ignores advice during the fight. Get to the end of the dungeon after rinsing and repeating explanations + him acting weird, come to see the person who gets the 'completion' title was in a different party...IE, he wasn't new, he was just trolling me the entire time. Also he beats me out on an oil lot.

This actually just happened to me, in Frontlines:

Twin Adders are behind 200 pts for second place, Maelstroms were a bit further
We lost the node but someone somewhere capped an extra flag so we were holding three outposts
We started rampaging the Allagan Markets and won, I gave the call to push to the Flame outpost and we were now in the lead
and then suddenly 90k.

No sweat, there was still 300 points until the game was over I knew I'd get back in time except...

Level 50 crafter friends who complain about not being able to get their master tools and books, and when asked about their rotation reply "What's Inner Quiet?" lol. It's happened more than once. I blame leve-levelling

It's kind of sad that the same dc errors happen so often that everyone knows the error numbers by heart.
I 90k a lot too, with a little 2002 sprinkled here and there.

people wiping in ST so hard. (after 2.4)

Today, in ST, I had one healer who did practically nothing. The other healer called them out just before Xande, and I kept an eye on the party list. I think Healer B cast a spell maybe a handful of times (two that I noticed), was in cleric stance the entire time, and MP didn't go down more than maybe 200-300 at the most -- even if he'd been in dps mode, there'd have been DoT spells cast, and even if he just used Ruin2 his MP would have gone down more than it did. So yeah.

Guess who won both sands AND the oil?

(Healer A deserved all the comms he got from that run, though. I've solo-healed it myself once or twice due to DCed or dropped-out healers, and that's some work to pull off, especially without anyone really noticing.)

Shiva's circular AoEs...all of them. Any kind of vision impairment makes them impossible to see. I was tearing my hair out. They really need a re-design for people who are unable to distinguish shades of white (or at least darken the floor up a bit).

Doing LEVEs and my escort NPC gets roflstomped by a normal non LEVE mob that just happened to be nearby.

I think I was in your pt for this or I had the same person in my party lol. Acted like a complete fool the whole run and kept asking strange questions in broken english. Then wins some lot at the end for sand or oil.

I kinda had that happen. I bought the wrong item, but caught my error before upgrading. Grrr!

Moments where a tank cooldown doesnt activate the moment you hit it causing you to die.

What is it with the people in ST lately. It seems like the quality of parties since 2.4 hit has degraded. I swear i was just in a party where people were trolling so hard. They kept moving the Waymarks to different spaces to confuse people. Then people just flat out ignoring mechanics and wiping on purpose. We sat at the 2nd boss for the better part of an hour because the tanks wanted to run around in circles instead of place the robots where they needed to be. I would of left after the 2nd or 3rd wipe because the trolling was so hard but someone was new to the raid and i needed that sweet 50 Soldiery reward. It probably wasnt worth it btw.

Joining a Sastasha run on Paladin for my Animus. I pulled the first group of bats and we fought them. Not a single cure. White Mage, after the battle, comes over and spams Medica to get me to full HP.

I politely ask if they can heal next time.

Next group pulled. I drop to 12 hp before the WHM starts curing. Again, not Cure which has a decent potency but Medica. Despite me being the only one who has taken damage. WHM drains most of their MP to cure me.

I remind them that they have a 'Cure' spell in their skills and they should choose it over Medica, and also to cure BEFORE I drop so low. Next pull comes up.

WHM again lets me drop to <5% hp before spamming Medica to get me back to full HP.

At this point, it's clear I'm being trolled and tell them so. Their response? "Bon Voyage". /ragequit.

T9 or Shiva EX, when we have an attack incoming over our heads that should not overlap with someone else's.
Everyone running, I am in front of them and they keep pursuing me (well, due to the small delay with servers, I suppose they see themselves in front), we take double damage and die.

I mean seriously, I play Bard, I'm the one who runs !
