So it has been confirmed, most likely unintentionally, that Yugiri doesn't have horns protruding from the side of her head.
*****Minor Spoiler***** In one of the quests where she makes a cameo in Coerthas, it is windy weather and her ears are seen waving in the wind like hair. That thwarts the possibility that they are horns like many of us suspected. Looks like we're getting bunnies or bermucians. I was really hoping they were horns too :(.
Did anyone else catch this? Sorry if it has been posted, I haven't seen anything yet.

I noticed it in the original leviathan story quests, however since the model isn't finished it's completely possible that the physics engine takes affect on them when they aren't supposed to. And if you want to think of it thematically, it's completely possible that her hood is oversized for the horns and so it's just the cloth waving back and forth.
I'm still (stubbornly) keeping my hopes up for horns :P...I'll deny it when they show 'em! -

Which implies heavily that the models are also part of the joke and that a designer just wanted to go that extra mile to trick people but was to late for the actual april fools post. If that is not enough they also state "By the way...the new race won't be Viangaa, so make sure you don't get your hopes up, Viangaa fans!" Viangaa being the name of the 3D model race. Actually...
In the current patch story they talk of Shiva's 'crime'. Given what usually happens (whether possible or not) when one commits such an act it's highly possible that Yugiri's race is Shiva's progeny.

With regard to the Garuda/Gaius comment in the post above this one...(spoiler below)
Her stench is Zodiark, patron deity of the Ascians, of that I am quite sure. We have had no reason given as to why Shiva and Gaius would have met so they probably have not but we do know Gaius has been working with the Ascians of which could of brought Gaius into contact with Zodiarks taint/corruption. Regarding the 'she' part, much like Hydaelyn's voice is female my belief is both Hydaelyn and Zodiark are female as they are probably two sides of the same coin metaphorically...a single entity once upon a time that split in two separating into light and dark so if Hydaelyn is female then so would Zodiark be in my opinion.
