I have two characters on Durandal server. Only one of them gets super lags and gets 90000 error/disconnection. Since one of my character works just fine, I can only think this is somehow SE's server related issue. What can I do now?
I also have two active character on Typhon server. One works normally, while the other one is constantly experiencing lags and freeze.
I have been having the same issue. The only character I have issues with is my main. All other characters on the same server are fine and playable. I'm on Sargatanas btw. I've even gone as far as to delete the locally saved character information, uninstall and re-install the game, turn off firewalls (like that would only affect one character) and attempted to play on a different computer. Didn't receive a response for my ticket before the weekend and I'm out of ideas. It isn't an ISP or a computer issue. Anyone else have any ideas?
Only have one character (adamantoise) that I use, but the lag/9000 errors have been unbearable since 2.4. It's not consistent, and sometimes plays OK. But during busy hours, it pretty much freezes any kind of action before I get the dreaded 9000 error.
Same receiving Massive 9k errors on Excalibur there are no excuses for a game that has been out of launch now for a year.
And so begins the GM to SC run-around. I finally received the generic "We have reviewed the details.....seek technical assistance. I did that right after the emergency maintenance and never got a response back...in the meantime pretty much SOL. I've replied to their response, crossing my fingers.
My character no longer experience frequent lag spikes after monday morning. I still don't know the cause, but the problem is gone now.
Since that patch I permanently get 90000 and 3012 (still logged on) on the CHAOS datacentre (Europe).
I can not even get trough a dungeon because I get disconnected and don't get the bonus tomes. That is some shit for real.
I do not disconnect often, if it'd be my ISP I could not connect back instantly...
I've also been having problems with constant lag spikes at all hours and repeated 90k errors followed by the 3012 error when trying log back in. I too only noticed this after the 10/30 maintenance.
I created a second character on the same server, plays flawlessly.
same here, my main character gets 90k error and 10105 and the 2nd character is fine, thats all started today
There's an 11 page thread on this in the Currently Reviewing section, but yeah - same issue here as of this morning. Constant disconnects for the last 30 minutes or so on one character, fine on another.
UPDATES
So I have talked with SQEX support, and of course not much of help. they told me to do port forward. Open ports and such.. my ISP doens't allow me to do port forward. I attempt to open ports in my router, no luck.
It turned out, my two characters comes from different IP addresses. I wonder if there is anyway they can move my non working character to working character server or something.
My non working character works fine with using private VPN. but I'm not looking forward to play this game with paying $10 a month when this game cost $15 a month to play..
SQEX please fix this problem. I did make a lot of good friends past year since the launch. I would like to keep this releationship for long time.
Please.
I'm getting one of these every 15-30 minutes since last patch.
I can't complete a dungeon without at least one disconnect
And as a healer, that can mean a wipe when it happens during a boss fight.
Highly annoying
I am also having problems with 90000 disconnections in crowded zones. The lag is also pretty bad if I try to do any actions or group up for hunts. Checking retainers is impossible as is doing anything in towns. This only started this week, however a friend also on the server was encountering problems ever since the maintenance. Before this we had no problems with lag.
I've done a trace and found the problem to be large packet losses from the 66.198.123.25 server that my packets are routed through.
I am on the Diabolos Server and am using Time Warner Cable. Everything else I am connected to is fine.
TATA communications.

TWC has the power to address issues with that segment--they are the ones that set up that exchange, and they have exchanges with others they can pair you with if they can't resolve it through TATA. Here's just a sampling of some of the exchanges they have at their disposal (availability varies by region, but for the most part they can at least switch amongst Cogent, Level3, and TATA throughout the US): http://bgp.he.net/AS7843
It may take some time, and quite a few hoops to jump through... but if you continually lean on their T3 support team and hit them up through their forums/email/twitter/etc. you can get them moving on it eventually. The more data you can provide (traces elsewhere that show similar issues, provide modem signal/error logs also), the more inclined they will be to investigate/escalate things further up the chain of command.
And that's not just speculation. I'm a TWC customer as well, and they have been regularly updating my route trying to dodge these congestion spikes for some time now.
UPDATES
Somehow it fixed its own. I didn't do anything. It seems like its working fine now..
Ain't fixed for me, and with WoD release just around the corner it looks like I'll be unsubbing again.
I want to play your game SE, I really do, but I keep getting kicked off the server every 15-30mins
So, I'm out
XIV is the only game YOU get noticeable lag issues on. Sometimes I think our community just has more drama queens than any other MMO. I get no more connection problems with XIV than I do on any other online game. In fact I get more XBL disconnects than I do XIV disconnects. Perhaps the physical location of the servers just happens to cause a lot of the traffic to funnel through some of Level3s crappiest nodes.
An excuse would have been okay.... maybe 20 times ago.. but it's been after a lot of their maintenances that are apparently "fixing" things that these issues occur, me and 15 other players i can confirm (don't know if there's more, really can't be bothered asking) on tonberry have been experiencing lag and disconnections now too, hell a bunch of us even got banned from the duty finder because the lag wouldnt let us switch our damn classes. squares servers are among the worst I've ever experienced in any MMO, MMORPG, or online game at all. Even playing a local hosted us server on L4D2 whilst in australia with 600 ping is at least more reliable than this, atleast on there I know there'll be a delay. on here it's going Okay>Okay>Okay>stop for 30 seconds>everything catches up>you're dead>okay>okay>disconnection>reconnect>lag>lag>lag>lag>lag>okay> etc.
Let me provide an analogy to further my earlier point. Saying XIV should be fine because other games are for you is like complaining about traffic on a road trip to Los Angeles because if there was no traffic on your drive to Work there shouldn't be any on your trip to LA. Two totally different routes with independent issues. You put a WoW server in Montreal and there's a good chance people would start having some of the same problems and there's likely people that DO have issues with WoW. The reason the problem comes and goes with updates is due to the fact every time the servers are rebooted their connection to the their own ISP is reset and often repathed. SE can't control if they get rerouted through a crappy node. If it were SE's problem it would be happening to EVERYONE.
Similar issues after last patch, 90k and 2002 on my wireless phone. The only thing that's changed was on their end and they expect me to jump through hoops when they make changes.
The server lobby is booting my character out. when I attempt to relog in it says my toon is in game. They made changes which is creating these issues and think they provide solutions by sending me an email for me to make fixes...
NON of what they provided helps and I am still unable to play. The support is random at best and are information from past problems which have nothing to do with what's happening now.
