801 Difficulty 3 Star Crafting rotation help

I am craft 403, control 385, cp349 no food ( i think its like 390+ wiff hq cp food)

I realize that this will get easier to HQ once I get Supra, and craft an offhand tool. Just curious what rotations you are using, or how I might modify mine.

What I'm using:

Open: CZ ) IQ ) WN ) SH2 ) PBPx3 ) CS2 ) HT (using TOT when available) ) redo CZ ) SH2 ) HT to 10 or 20( depending on when SH cancels if i've used TOT during the HT)

Then: MM2 ) SH2(when needed) ) HT to 40durabilty

Closing: SH ) GS ) ING2 ) Innovation ) BB ) CS2 x3

I had to adjust my original Rotation to add in the CS2 at the begging because of failing due to difficulty. Using this I'm still getting barely 10HT's, and only 7 or 8 stick. When 8 sticks BB still only brings my HQ% to 30% max. Working towards getting the tool, and offhand upgrade to see how my % goes up.

Anyway need advice maximizing my CP and abilites to get the max % possible. Currently this rotation requires that you hit 3 TOT to complete.

I use Comfort Zone, Steady Hand II, Piece By Piece, Ingenuity II and then Rapid Synth X 2

Then follow that up with some Quality skills as long as the Rapid Synths do not fail.

how many PBP? can you finish with 3pbp and 2rapid? or should it be 3 rapid? or maybe 2 rapid and a standard?

My rotation is as follows --- Comfort, IQ, Steady Hand 1, PbP, Pbp, SH2, WN2, Hastyx4, SH2 Hastyx3, Rapid x2, Manipulation, Great Strides, Ingenuity 2, Byregots, Carefull Synth x2 to finish it off.

A side note... I have my supras, and I will tell you getting HQ of these is NOT easy

another note, I use tricks of the trade when its not going to mess up my rotation

i.e. ill use it before I pop WN2, no matter what use it.

It likes to pop after I hit SH2, in which case I still use it but instead of it being Hastyx4 then hastyx3 it reverses that so hasty 3 then hasty 4

Since Rapid Synth is RNG based, I would recommend getting your "near finished" progress at the start of the synthesis. Nothing worse than blowing all your CP just to find out you're like 20 points short of a complete synth with no option to get your mats back through Reclaim.

Getting HQ out of 801 is a true nightmare, because most of the skills used are based on RNG, uses a lot of skills and even if you sucesss them all, still gets you low HQ%. Tryed 100 times to get me just one Intricate Silver Brocade. The new recipes will probably follow this line, I think I'll stop crafting at the current state and just keep making money from that. The new recipes books are not worth the effort, money and the decception to make it.

I know this is a bit outdated, but a while back when I asked one of my good friends for advice on crafting rotations. They sent me to this site. I don't know if it has exactly what you're looking for but if it helps then I'm happy to be of service. :D

Three Star / Master rotations

Thanks my good lady, but I'll give it a time. Its probably that in future upades they will provide new tools and more easy procedures to get the books, I can wait.

Here is hoping there is a hard reset on crafting come 3.0. I miss the days when you could always guarantee 100% two star items as long you knew the proper rotation and had the appropriate cross craft skills.

This. Though Reclaim has a nasty habit of kicking you while you're down, 90% is still way better than 10%. At least if Rapid Synthesis or PbP troll you early on, you can just Reclaim and break the item and only lose the shards.

Anyway, I used this rotation to get mine. There might be a better rotation out there, but I've finished two so far this way. The highest I've gotten on quality is 83-84% when I had enough CP left from multiple ToT to slide Innovation into the rotation and happened to proc a Good on Byregot's, normally it gets me like 47-53%.

This is kinda how I'm feeling about it. Crafting has gone from "fun" to "RNGesus kicks you in the teeth repeatedly".

I really don't enjoy the difficulty on the new stuff. The HQ supra turn ins had me wanting to rip my hair out.

It takes somebody with the name "cookiecutter" to have that opinion.

I'm glad that crafting isn't that brainless anymore. Currently, it's fairly easy. Just on lunch I had an FC member provide me the Sealant, and I cafted him his BSM Artisan off hand tool. Did I ever doubt I couldn't HQ it for him? No. Why? I can macro all the 1-2* Synths, and reliably HQ all 3* Synths. If you enter a 4* Synth with all HQ materials guess what? It's easy to HQ. Can you macro it? No, so you actually need to pay attention.

@OP - you should check out the Disciple of the Hand Forums for these types of answers. There's a LOT of great threads over there includnig crafing macros etc.

So in regards to that I'd prefer crafting that is less rng based which is what two star crafting was. 3 and 4 star crafting is built around RNG and managing said RNG scenarios. I just don't like dealing with said RNG because it could end up sour no matter how well you know your rotation (you miss a lot of hasty touches, few tricks procs, miss rapid synths, and your reclaim fails). I'd rather it based on knowing your skills than how lucky you can get with said skills.

Thanks for the new tip, but no, I'll not try taste this bitter experience again. 100 failures was enough for me, if I try again with a new rotation the deception will make me stop playing the game. I'll wait if this crap based RNG has a better solution in future upadates.

For starters the new recipes require up to 451 crafts to even attempt them so why do you want to make this stuff without the supra?
