No Rogue in Character Creation?

How come rogue isn't in character creation? They add a new class/job and you can't even make a new character with it? That is just plain stupid.

Do any of you know why rogue isn't in character creation?

Because you cant, its stated in the patch notes you need to be lvl10 with another class beforehand.

Oh i didn't see that part, but still why lock it like that? You want people to come back and try it by asking them to be lvl 10 with another class first? Oh well their decision but i dont agree with it.

Meh just roll a Marauder, quickly get it to 10 then switch to ROG and start story questing. Won't take long at all.

Why not just unlock it on the char you already have? If you dont have one at lvl 10 or with the airships unlocked at this point, and you aren't new... And if you are new, it doesn't take that long.

Can't travel to limsa by foot if you start don't start there was a lvl restriction (30 iirc) for the vesper bay ferry. Airships are going to be the first mode of inter-city travel to be available between limsa and the others

For convenience sake, if you want to main NIN on a new character, the best choice is to level Arcanist or Marauder (ideally the later as Marauder will have CC skills that will be useful for the NIN) until you unlock the Armory System (which is around level 10). You can't travel to Limsa Lominsa on foot if your starting city is Gridania or Ul'dah, as boat and airship travel are both locked behind the city-state envoy quest chain.

I don't know about Limsa, but I did go on foot to Gridania on my Thaumaturge from Ul'Dah at LV 10 to level up Conjurer for Cure and Protect and use Cure as self-healing skill. I could not do LV 10 story quest because it was too hard so I could not go further. So I could not use the ferry and air ships. But after I unlocked Conjuror and got Cure, I could self-heal and I managed to do LV 10 story quest after.

Yeah, La Noscea is an island (a big one, granted, but still one), you can't get there by land under any circumstances unless you're there already as others have said.

You're right. I'm still used to the system of getting somewhere before you can teleport to it. Not sure I'll ever get used to or remember this option exists XD

Closest you can get is the ferry, which will not let you board until you get through the level 15 quests, again as others have said, and at that point you may as well just use an air ship (120 gil) directly from the city. It's a water locked state. Unless you start there or use the FC teleport mentioned above, there really isn't any way to get there at level 10 on your first class.
