When we can update our client?

In earlier patches I was ready with patching at this time.

You have approx. ~13more hours, unless you plan to sleep that long, i would say go ahead and go to bed. client should be available for update when you awake.

When I wake up, I go to work. When I come back, I want to play and not sit one or two hours around and look at the progress bar of the launcher.

Wake up, download, go to work.

I was also hoping they would allow early patch, but I guess it depends whether they are patching the game first or dealing with hardware first, they wont allow a patch download until most (if not all) of the patch is already installed in the servers.

i understand that you wanna patch it so you can play as early as you can but use this to feel what it is going to be like for PS4 and PS3 players who will get a small PSN maintenance tomorrow FOLLOWED by a major patch to there systems, before they can play there games :P

also it will be done in roughly 13 hours if you can from work set up a remote connection to your computer from work and start it up there :3 theres a few applications that do that :D

Ask yourself which is more important work or the game. If you say the game your priorities are all screwed up. Just because you have to work dosent mean you can not accomplish anything.

The server(s) responsible for handling the updates is not the same one as the game servers.
If everything was centralized, you wouldn't have access to the website or the forums.

It's very likely that every services are separated in a number of servers, for multiple reasons.

In fact, I'm pretty sure that the update server(s) are already ready.

Remote into your computer from work using your phone (I use TeamVeiwer). =3

There is no PSN maintenance tomorrow. It's a firmware update download, thats all.

Some of my coworkers use this software... I like to call it "Teen Viewer" and accuse them of accessing unsavory material. ;)

lol I hear ya - I would love the download before heading to bed later on tonight... so I am not downloading the patch right into the time it is to go to work where I run the high risk of not being able to purchase my plot.. Once I go to work, that is it for 8 hours.. 8 hours of missed opportunities to buy my land. :(

Umm... All we receive is a firmware update tomorrow for 2.0...and that won't hit until like 9am pst... It'll take like 5 minutes to install, and FFXIV will have been patched for at least 5 hours.

ehh sometimes the store updates at midnight gmt±0 and other times it updates at 8pm, it depends on when it is released so far it has to be released at 8am GMT±0 to co inside with the patch,

Enable your PC to become RDC(Remote Desktop Connection)-able.
Connect via public IP, with your normal user name and password for your user account/pc.
Log onto FFXIV using your work PC, being connected to your home PC.

/done.
