I hope not, pray Hydelyne this is not going to happen.
Dungeon drops - When Philo vanished that set moved to dungeons, so it only makes sense.
Hunt NPC sells them with exchange of hunt marks. Hope this doesn't change in 2.4.
I'm fine with the gear moving to dungeons as long as they get rid of all the crap crafting material drops at the same time. Getting cooking sherry as a reward for killing a final dungeon boss is bullsh*t.
Don't underestimate high quality H2O.

I don't really see AF2 gear being moved to dungeon drops. That wouldn't make much sense to me. The "Hero's" Belt and Jewelry, certainly they could drop from dungeons, but not the AF2 gear.
I think they'll continue being sold by the Hunt Billmaster.
In preliminary patch notes it showed hunt NPC changed to the sold gear set.
My guess is same as DL when philosophy got taken out, moved to dungs, though would feel so lazy if they chose that right.
At this point in the game, I think they should just add them to vendor and put a 50k gil price on each, since theirs so many other sets above it with patch.
There are new items called "Antique Armor lalala" which people suspect to drop in dungeons. Idea is that you can then turn those antiques for the i90 AF2 gear while the accessories will drop directly in the dungeons since they are not class tied. People who theorized this can be wrong though.
The Myth set isn't AF2, it's Myth gear. AF2 is coming in 3.0 (you can see the DRG AF2 set in the teaser trailer).
AF2 will look different than AF1. Myth gear is a simple recolor of AF with enhanced stats, so it's more akin to AF+ (which is what it was originally called).
According to the preliminary patch notes for 2.4, i90 gear will be removed from the Hunt Billmasters and replaced with i100 gear. i90 will likely be added to dungeons (since they are i80 difficulty) just like how the i70 tome gear was added to the i60 difficulty dungeons.
I wasn't thinking they were going to move them from the billmaster... ? I mean, that npc doesn't even really have anything to do with myth.
Well that's just confusing. "Myth" gear, as you call it, has all of the restrictions of AF gear, looks like AF gear, and is stronger in all the same places as AF gear. What could it possibly be other than AF gear and why should it not be treated with the same respect as AF gear? I mean, you don't see i45 AF gear being dropped from DD or AV, do you?
Job Specific gear dropping in dungeons will be very much useless. Maybe they will still be on the Mor Dhona NPC but now with Soldiery?
Right, the myth sets as a whole had lore behind them, but the AF gear was individualized per job quest. Iunno, my point was it would seem weird to have them drop in AV and such. I mean, the SCH job quest had you recreating garments from old designs. Why would you get that as a dungeon drop? Myth gear otoh was always obtainable from Rowena's shop, so I guess that doesn't bug me as much to have it as dungeon drops.
I've never minded the dungeon drops cause what I don't use for glamour I just turn in for seals.
Considering you can now desynth myth gear, they're not going to make it something you can easily obtain anymore. Imagine the massive drop in price of Battlecraft III demimateria if myth gear remained on the hunt billmaster. SE knew this beforehand and is more than likely going to sprinkle the drops throughout dungeons or some other form of RNG to prevent easymode Battlecraft III farming.
