Friend request for gold seller spam

Is anyone else getting these whisper then friend request so you cant instantly black list the spammer? You cant just click no to the request either you have to dismiss it before gives you the option to blacklist. Seem like a flaw to me I should be able to right-click the name and add to blacklist even if they have a friend request or dismiss the request from the bubble prompt.

I've never gotten a friend request, and the whispers are pretty rare now-a-days. And I'm on a really big server, so I doubt it's that much of an issue.

Find 200 players to add to your friend list and then you'll never have to deal with the spam/requests ever again.

I never get whispers but I do get a lot of /tells :P

and they have started with friend requests too. I am back up to blisting 3+ gil sellers a day. Where a month ago it was 3 a week.

It's so stupid you can't blist someone who has made a friend request. Blist should just automatically remove the friend request, no questions asked.

Yeah we still get them on Leviathan... at least 1 per day. They don't spam as often as they used to though through /tell, as it's almost like they realized that spamming the **** out of someones chat box might have been making people annoyed rather than intrigued. Of course, they found another means of annoyance by using the friend request loop hole, but can't expect people to know how to do business properly when it comes to this sort of thing.

But yea, it's annoying. I think a possible solution would be to make people that are known to be gil sellers to suddenly be attack-able in cities.

And then, of course, this is a MMO, so, if you kill 200 gil sellers, you get a achievement and mount. We can even make linkshells and hunt them like hunt mobs. All sneak up on them as a group, and complain when someone accidently "face pulls" one.

I get several friend requests from gilsellers every day. It's gotten so bad I've started keeping /busy status up most times. I'm not sure what they could do to fix it but it's something I'd like to see addressed for the sake of not being annoyed on a daily basis anymore.

We could use a hotfix that allows us to selectively block tells/trades/friends/invites/etc from players created in the last X hours, still with the new character icon, or with no classes above level X, in any combination of our choosing.

Very populated servers have character restriction on at different points which would explain your lack friend request spam. So far I got 4 friend requests from spamming rmts and the day isn't even over yet.

Make this into a macro.

I was playing a dinky F2P MMO once where people were running around but no one could answer some simple questions, talk to me, or even interact with each other in a big market square. I quit on the second day.

I don't think they would do this, since if a legitimately new character sent you a tell to ask you, an experience player, a question and received that message. And then another from that player across the room. Then another from a player outside... that wouldn't be a very warm and welcoming environment.
