Real Detective Hildibrand ???

I'm sorry i can't find similar post.

Can someone explain why this players .IF. Looks like Detective Hildibrand and Godbert?

When i ask if they are real players Hildibrand said that they are the real characters.

Like someone tell me if there event or something?

Going to say not real. Hildi's last name is cut off just before the letter "e" can complete it.

I've been in Duty with that Hildibrand, they must be players. :D Been in Ifrit and Garuda HM with him. (If not the same guy then someone doing the same thing on another server.)
Character limit stops Hilibrand clones being able to finish the surname too.

If you look closely at Hildibrand's outfit you'll see that it's not his real outfit (notice the lack of the red flower on his chest).

Both Hildibrand and Godbert don't have unique character models so players can make characters that look the same.

Hildi made this classic move with his body (body-building) he used an item and disappear both in instant. Can this be done?

Hildibrand is a Highlander Hyur. That "trademark" pose of his is the default pose every male highland hyur gets. Also, while the outfit does seem similar, there's something missing: The rose on his chest.

The one I was in Garuda and Ifrit with always spoke in character. Some people enjoy role playing. :3

Haha! Sadly no... but when he died he did the emote. Hildibrand Mandervill senses something is amiss. Which made me lol.

I saw a NPC just now in northern Thanalan who looked like Godbert in retainer clothes (the blue coatee), mining around the lv50 miner spots, then teleported away after he finished.
No name, speech bubbles, so 100% a NPC

Next time I see him I make screenshots

Someone beat you to it in an earlier thread, it's not Godbert, it's just a 'random retainer'. They appear all over the place but it's all scripted, it will be the same 'retainer' and they will appear like clockwork. Just another 'small touch' Square put in with the adventurer retainer system.

@OP I guess your question has been answered :) I also don't think 'real' NPCs (or GMs perhaps) would have the same font color as everyone else, nor will they be associated with an FC.

It would be nice if GMs do roleplaying again like they did during 1.0

Maybe a GM could walk around as Yugiri, traveling through Eorzea to see the country and talking to the people.

This needs a petition.

EDIT: Upon second thought, there's over 70 servers last I counted and it would be hard for actual GM;s to play the roles of various characters.
