Request about currency caps

I am one of those people that doesn't like the coil lockouts, but I guess I understand why we have them.

But what really bothers me is that in this game, we have the ability to level all jobs. But because of currency caps, lockouts with RNG, I have only been able to gear up three jobs to be effective in end game. I have started to gear up a fourth, healer. But by the time I gear it up, we will get the next expansion and all of that gear will become obsolete and the cycle starts over, just like with every iLVL increase.

It is starting to frustrate me to an increased level. I love my main job, BLM. But I get really bored doing the same things over and over. That's why it is so important to me to be able to play multiple jobs.

I am glad at least the soldiery cap was 450 this time instead of 300 like it was with myth. But could we please have a higher cap next patch? What's the point in having multiple jobs if you can't gear them poperly?

I could go for 3,000/600.

Sadly, for a game that allows multiclassing, a lot of the game's systems actually seem to discourage it.

I love multiclassing to bits, but character-bound lockouts and limits like these, as well as 2 free retainers loudly yell: "Make alts instead!"

would be about time for soldiery to be made easier to get, what with ninja dropping in 2.4.

But you can do end game at i90..

And if not people can probably carry you.

yea I don't mind the weekly cap what I do mind is the bank cap. should be no reason that we can only stock 2000 tomes. Seems silly

Every tried carrying around 2000 books, even small ones? Sheesh. These aren't even just Tomes, they're tomeSTONES.

Joking aside, with how easy myth are to get it would have been nice for the cap to be like 5-6000.

I worked on my alt up until about April or May. Not going to work on two characters. Being able to do everything on one character was one of the biggest attractions for me to play this game.

I'd love for them to remove lockouts. With the amount of casual non-raider population in this game it would still take an entire patch period 2.2-2.3 (for example) to totally gear up every class considering the mass RNG involved in coil. Let's face it, hardcore raiders only make up a small percentage of subs, so who cares if they up and unsub after getting all their gear? SE is still going to get enough cash from the majority. I think it's about time they stop using subscription number drop as an excuse for lockouts and rework the lockouts.

In the future I want to see lockouts be reduced from 1 week to 72 hours (prefer no lock but this works). That way, those who clear coil in 45 minutes can have fun 3 days later and have another shot at drops.

If they wish to keep the lockouts, another idea would be to make the lockout on a per-job/class basis, that way each job would have a shot, instead of just 1.

They could totally make a system like (as an example) 3500+250 per level 50 combat class for maximum and 400+25 per level 50 combat class for maximum. This would end with 9 (ninja) for 5750 and 625 total soldiery per week.

I mean, this would make a semi-balance since if you don't have that many classes, no real need for a lot of soldieries, but if you have a lot of classes, you need more to work on all of them.

I agree with this! I would make an alt, but I am cheap and don't want to pay extra. Hmm, have to pay more to make an alt...

Brilliant! But hopefully they'll just do what Toodles said outright.

they should actually consider doing something about the lockouts especially once expansion is out. people who will buy the expansion are the people who will stick with this game through thick and thin despite with how new content are being implemented now.

Considering T9 was beat with mostly ilvl 90 gear, you aren't necessarily being carried by not being 110. Play smart and you'll contribute enough to pull your own weight.

I wouldn't be in favor of easing the weekly Sol cap just yet. However, I would be ok if ST armor lost the weekly lockout while still keeping the weekly lockout on sands/oils/uat.

More then likely with the 3rd coil coming the gear lock out will be removed just like they did with CT.

And thus you have kept playing throughout the entire patch, paying a monthly subscription every month as opposed to spamming content and getting all jobs geared and the patch 100% complete in 1 month and cancelling your subscription. The system works.

There is a chance that soldiery don't have a weekly limit after 2.4

I can answer the OP in a single timeworn adage, I hope nobody in the thread beat me too it.

If you want to be at the pinnacle of a class, expect to sacrifice elsewhere. If you're happy being average at them all, then you can do that too!

Being able to level all the classes on a single character isnt at deficit to this, it means you can change where you want to focus your proficiency at any time.

what the point of having all jobs to lvl 110 if you can't even play one properly?

I farmed second coil from the month its been added, my 3 main classes are drg lvl 110, war lvl 106 whm lvl 106, I got all 3 roles, I dont need to max out the rest.

Giving more tomestone wont make the players better just give em more gear for less effort, thus, spoiling em over the long run.

I'm perfectly happy with the current tomestone meta

Except this game and the jobs are stupid easy to play. And for dps classes, the damage you put out is directly related to your gear. Sure I can heal in lower level gear. But better and higher lvl gear helps with crunch time/recoveries from deaths and near deaths.
