Probably going to catch some heat for this but whatever. First tip: fix your gear before setting foot in Frontline... or any version of PvP. With what you're using, you're contributing next to nothing for your team. Annnnd since you're also Flames, that's contributing to the already increasing problem with them nowadays. Gear is capped at i80 there no excuse to not have it, it isn't hard to get.
80% of the time you'll not be using Chaos Thrust combo. Go to the Wolves' Den Pier and practice your burst on the dummies there. Learn how/when to use Impulse Rush and learn how to weave Skewer into your regular abilities.
Get your finger off Leg Sweep and Spineshatter Dive. Very little pisses off a tank more than melee who waste stuns. Instead, learn how to use sprint and Enliven/Invigorate to close in on targets. Also get used to using Weapon Throw on sprinting targets. Again... don't waste stuns.
EDIT: grammar corrections
lol, I must shepherd my people... especially since he's on my datacenter.......
My DRG is not even 50 yet. Have marks saved up for a full set of i70... ask for some basic tips on pvp, immediately have assumptions made and get attacked. This is why most pvpers have a bad reputation.
first tip ... don't do that. the i70 pvp set is trash and has been so for a very long time. Frontlines is i80 gear and ignores morale and materia so you coming in there with i70 pvp gear, that is below FL gear level is going to make you irrelevant. you'll be lucky to even solo a drone with that. the majority of players in FL are in i100 and i110 pve gear to ensure they clear the cap for i80 stats, so you hitting them is just going to make you a non-factor because you will do no damage since your targets' stats will supersede yours by leaps and bounds. just save your marks for the i100 pvp set which can only be efficiently used in level 50 Matched Wolves Den Arena (not the i80 one). if you plan on doing Frontlines majority of the time, just get the i90 pve set from the vendor in Mordhona that only costs Myths
No one's getting attacked lol, you asked for tips so there you go. You'd be surprised the number of people who go into FL completely undergeared, so it clearly isn't as obvious as one would believe. You seem to have thought i70 was gonna cut it until Pink here corrected that.
Also: if you're that easy to get riled up, uh..... well, have fun in PvP.
What? Nobody attacked you lol...this is all very sound advice that I wish *everyone* took advantage of.
Ulterior motive detected!
As for suggestions I would want to point out for DRGs to chase after the same target as the MRD/MNK or BLM and that if you do not have a coordinated group who can designate targets, to chase the black mages within reasonable distance since hitting a healer alone in that setting is not as effective as with 1 other person and most dps tend to get carried away and end up being defeated far away from the flag
For Frontlines, Spineshatter Dive and legsweep to your hearts content.
It doesn't matter as much in Frontlines as it does in Wolves den. So stun up stun often.
Weave your Jumps, skewer and leg sweep in between your combo, for max burst.
Also don't be afraid of blood for blood,
Mercy stroke is your best friend, macro it into your off GCD abilities so it goes off when its up.
Sprint is also very key, macro that and invigorate and enliven into one button and push twice.
Great for quick get aways and chasing down when no jumps are up.
For gear, anything over ilvl80 with Det, Crit and Skill Speed, no acc and no materia
So happy I don't play tank in PvP.

I havent try DRG yet, but is it really true that DRG has to depend on stunlock like that? What happen to Fetter Ward?
Poke them with the pointy end
Im trying to figure out what skills to use mainly for burst dmg, seeing as how the chaos combo wont be used.
