YESS!! I was like wtf just happened?? it was so eerie! and then it turned to Fog in Limsa which made it even more scary. The song sounded kinda haunted to me.

Though unlikely to happen, ever most likely, it would be nice if they introduced end of an era event so those new to the game can experience what happened in the final days. It would be good immersion as those new would feel more attatched to the world if they saw what became its current fresh state

That's the same (more or less) bgm played after 1.0 final save and lvl 99 mobs starts raiding cities. It ends when 1.0 shutdown and end of era trailer played, which is basically Dalamud razing the realm of Eorzea.

It always annoyed me when people said end of an era was just a cut scene, if that's all they took from it, they were obv on holiday.
It was the immersion of it, standing with long time friends and saying goodbye, all the while someone gave a running count down, and that haunting music, I just wish for the rising they used the full version not one verse.
I found myself just sitting in limsa a few nights ago for about an hour or so just listening to it -

makes me wish I played 1.0 now. that sight of Dalamud in the sky just gives me goosebumps every time I see it. I could only imagine what playing in game must've felt like with it there and knowing that the world was about to come to an end. *shivers*

That's why I wish they would add a "minstrels ballad - end of an era" sure it wouldn't be the same, but I do feel bad that some didnt get to experience something that though was sad, was also so magical , yeah I know the intro movie is there but the immersion isn't, being able to stand with friends and watching the sky literally fall, then bam cutscene

There are multiple stages of "Answers" that get progressively more powerful. It makes me wonder if, were we instead were playing as Garlean Soldiers, we would hear this theme song as a boss theme as we fought the Warriors of Light. You know this gives me a thought that they should have included a 2nd Quest chain for this event that has us meet certain people and see their life during the fall of Dalamud through the echo with each Echo vision providing us more lore to what happened during the fall of Dalamud and what happened after.

With LOADS of changes made over time to the open world environment. With the world growing more unstable and dangerous the closer the end drew. That cutscene was nothing more then the final cherry on top to the "experience".Quote:

The Rising event had a strange feeling. I can't say it was something happy. It was haunting and mysterious and nothing near a happy celebration for the 1 year ARR anniversary. It was like "laugh while you can, be happy while you can cause terrible things are coming soon". Weird choice for an anniversary event.
