Non-Theme Bardings for Chocobos

Is it just me, or would anyone else just like some generic bardings for chocobos? Something that's not a GC affiliation, or primal related, or wonky holiday stuff.

I'd really like some generic looking armor for my Chocobo, maybe a style that looks like we are just going exploring... or some parade gear.

Not a big deal... but would very much like something more to bardings than what we got.

I agree - more unique bardings would be great to have. It's kind of the reason I prefer to ride my Legacy chocobo usually instead of my Company one, as it has a unique style of barding and appearance.

Yeah would like something as well... especially with the ability to colour them having some bardings that would show of the colours more would be nice... dyeable barding as well would be nice...

This. Plus Dyeable Barding (some unable to be dyed). Done.

Add some Free Company barding while you're at it (and FC uniforms too ^^) this could be fun.

Can always hope Gold Saucer rewards add some more considering it has choco racing, though I'd be happy with FC barding too.

FC barding would be amazing, but I do really want some more "plain" bardings.

Yes more bardings, our chocobos deserve spoiling!
Complete looks though please, as nice as the Egg Barding etc are, it's nice to have matching sets.

+1 to this idea! I support this, would be nice to have some "normal" non-theme oriented bardings that are dye-able in order to match with our new colors!

I'd like more than just head pieces to them too, honestly. I really like the FC barding idea.

How do you design a non-themed barding? There is already the non-themed saddle and non-themed reins if you take all the barding off.

Fancy yet functional-looking barding that doesn't cosplay, isn't covered up by flags, ideally doesn't compress the wings like the GC bardings do, that are full sets. As you said the naked barding is non-themed, but it's pretty drab to look at, no?

I'm all for crafted bardings.

In fact, I would like to see the bardings function the same as armour: giving boosts to your chocobo's stats, being glamourable, spiritbondable, meldable etc.

That way you can spec out your healer chocobo in mage gear, your tank chocobo in full plate etc. It would breathe a bit more life into lower level crafting as well.

I unequipped everything and like how my chocobo looks since then. He runs free with no weird looking or heavy armor stuff on him

I'd like more bardings that just looked regal or pretty. Something with a few ribbons and flowers just to look pretty but not overdone like it belongs in a carousel.

I want spinning rims & lcd screens for my chocobo. Maybe some cold cathode lighting for the underside.

This is a pretty awesome idea. You could get other crafting classes in on the fun this way. :3

I would love to have craftable barding that is dyeable. Doesn't have to be a lot maybe two to four pieces each crafting class?

Some of my ideas:

A straw hat for my chocobo! (with and without a flower!)
A Vanya/Cashmere robe barding would be nice with the matching hat. (more barding based on existing armors!)
Rainbow barding that could be released during Pride week!
Card theme barding since we have that for Soldiery armors!
Have high priced specialty barding that could be bought with myth or soldiery. (something more for us to buy when we've completely geared up!)
Crystal Braves barding! (if/when you allow us to join that GC)
