The best thing your retainer has found.

Last night, had my retainer bring me Murderous Mogfists. Not sure if I can sell them on the MB as I don't play as a Monk. But awesome none the less.
What random treasures has your retainer brought you?

Thornmarch weapons not tradable so can't sell em.

My retainer found 2 Floss Silks so far, 1 mil each on my server.

My BTN retainer brought back a White Raven Armor Fragment some weeks ago. Sold that thing for a hefty chunk of gil.

(Still jelly that my retainer beat me to T9...)

Doors, my retainer has brought me back like 3 different kinds at this point none of which I remember the names of and none of them are of any real value on MB but I got them.

ilvl 70 weapons and ilvl 55 rings, some being for PvP.

Moogle Axe, Moogle SMN book, 5 different i70 Warwolf pieces, White Raven Armor Fragment to name a few. I've done a quick run as often as it will let me on my retainers. It's hard keeping tokens in stock :)

I don't know if I should mention my Carbuncle Chronometer or the Broombrush Seeds.

Fish. All fish.

But on a more serious note, nothing spectacular just somewhat expensive mats and and housing items.

Darklight Choker of Aiming and an Arcanist's Ring.

Other than that it's just plenty of miscellaneous house parts. And fish. Lots and lots of fish. :p

Brought back a level 3 materia the other day. Can't remember which one, it was yellow, and sold for about 80k.

That was pretty nice.

My favourite thing is the Stuffed Chocobo though. Have that one sitting in my FC room.

One brought me back a Crit IV materia... and a stuffed chocobo! That little guy is chilling in my FC room as happy as can be.

Night before last mine brought back a White Raven's Armor Fragment, have it up for 2.3 mil hopefully it sells.
The best I think though was when she brought me back Glazenut Seeds back when they were first added so they were super rare
Sold it for 5 mil ^_^ now if only she could bring me back a Nutkin minion or Waterproof cotton lol

Best I've gotten is a couple of Darklight pieces and some Garuda weapons.
And an Odin's Mantle. Though that's useless until they nab me a couple more...

Still need to get them capable of doing the highest level exploration ventures though. Considering my botanist will need to be better equipped than I currently am though, that will be a while. :-(

Mog Sch book which I desythed into 3 demimog demimaterias. Turned those bad boys into some i95 mogfists. So pretty!

I've had enough house pieces to build houses for an entire ward. I've got nearly all the Thornmarch weapons. I've had several Red Onion helms. A ton of entry level PvP gear. Many expensive housing items (Crag Lantern, Vortex Couch etc). So many fish.

My retainers are around ilvl80. Would their chances of finding more rare items go up if their ilvl goes to 90?

The retainer thing has been broken since the last time they touched it.

Back when it worked, I used to get random stuff that was semi good.

Now all I get ever get is fish and sometimes a random item like say a door to a house and then fish again.

All kind of moogle weapons, kingly whisker (undercut the price by 500k and sold it for 1 million in a day to my neighbour fc crafter), grade IV crit and det materia, stuffed chocobo, hq lvl 70 accesories.
Of course my retainers also love to bring back roofs, lvl 5 fish and other crap.

Since the most recent patch, I always get the same exact thing from the XIV 18 hour ones for my 2 tanks, miner and botanist...volcanic rock salt, gold/darksteel ore, HQ hipogryph hides, and mossy weapon parts.

One of my retainers has brought me back almost a complete level 50 gear set for a Bard.

I don't even play Bard.

Like many people here, my retainers normally bring back fish, and other crafting mats. On the rare occasion they'll bring back a IV Materia or a door or other furnishings, but that's about it. I've never gotten any weapons from them ever.

I have gotten a Dimension Blade Fragment (at least I believe that's what it was called) and it sold for a good price!

Just to be clear, these all come from the "Quick Exploration", right? And my retainer's Level and iLevel do not factor in to it at all, correct?

Just trying to make sure! :)

Quick Exploration is for this thread, yes, since most other forms of exploration are more or less fixed in results. Quick Exploration can get you almost any item in the game, barring certain ones. Supposedly your gear does affect the results, but it's more like it just leans them in a direction - there's nothing stopping you from getting kelp when your retainer is geared at level 80. Trust me.

The funniest thing was some kind of stump, I forget what it was called, but it was a tree stump. Oh and some kind of roof, how the heck do you carry around a whole roof anyways?

Sacrifice a Lalafell to the RNG

My retainer used to bring me roofs. Now it's mostly fish and allagan pieces. But once I received a Tonberry bed, Wavesoul Fountain, and a few different HQ i55 crafting pieces.

Several minions, a Glazenut, several Jute and other craft mats for Vanity were the so far best results. And enough HQ Couerl meat to feed all wild animals in Africa with it.

Blue Fox Hide and the Summoner Moogle book so far.

Last week the best things I received were Ifrit's trophy (HM version), Titan's lantern and blacksmith's gloves (HQ).
Otherwise it was the same junk as always, fish, roof, hides or meats (HQ though).

Tonberry Chandelier and Tons of Primal Weapons around 6 or 7.
