I understand if you had poor unfortunate luck to land that as a low-level roulette, or if you're a tank and just want the run over with, but if you're a sub-50 dps, and even a healer (I've sat around for 15 minutes once as a WHM), wouldn't you want to get the most exp out of your run as possible? And we're not talking a few thousand here and there from going into rooms. We're talking several tens of thousand of exp here. This is several fates worth of exp in just a couple minutes.
Ain't even that hard to do. Disturb the fruits, let them germinate, gather the seedlings, AOE, profit? Everyone seems to hate this place. Wouldn't the ideal thing to do is visit it as little as possible?

About the exp, it is so much good that you just do two or three run there to go 50. Germinate fruits yes gives more but it is a little compared to the zergload of exp you do even in a fast run, and quite not worth complaining. -

Generally speaking, only new people will need/want all the exp from Aurum Vale - people levelling a second class, for the most part, will only do the first room of AV for exp.
New people won't know that you get bonus exp from the fruit if you let them spawn into mobs.
Unless you have a full party of newbies, you'll get synced 50s desperate to get out of that horrible dungeon as fast as possible, which means not letting the fruit spawn morbols. Basically, it's pointless to expect people to want to get full exp there and to know how to do it even if they need it. Also, a surprising number of people just don't read the chat, even approaching level 50 =/ So asking doesn't always work either.
Regardless, you really shouldn't punish yourself by running AV over and over =P I groan internally whenever it comes up in roulette, it's 100% the worst dungeon in the game to pug xD -

They are the ones doing it right.
Even if you are doing AV solely for the exp, you're still doing it wrong by not just spamming the first room over and over.
If I'm running low level roulettes and someone wants a full clear of Stone Vigil, for example, I grit my teeth and do it, but there's no way I will create extra mobs. -

I think this has been said several times all ready, but as a tank. Don't expect me to just full clear a dungeon for you if you don't say anything. If you don't ask for a full clear, then I'm going to try and get it done as quickly and efficiently as possible so we can all move on with our lives. Speaking up is key, and no one seems to do this until they get butt hurt that I leave mobs behind/etc. You say you want the XP and people probably won't mind unless they have some pressing matter to attend.

But if your looking for a SR of it, it might be quicker to ask some FC mates, or just PF it, chances are there's other players on your server that need the dungeon as well. But I will agree there is another part of this, players who sole purpose is to get exp, there is much faster alternatives, then to do the entire AV. First room exp spam seems to be the best if your looking for exp.Quote:

Fruits are before second boss. How do I know you aren't a laggy weak dodger. I could spend three wipes on that boss. I will get nothing. But you got your xp. This is why you see tanks drop as soon as they see it pop. The penalty is worth avoiding the headache.
How about we agree to help you clear and get some xp. And you agree not to be greedy. This was the most common in progress low level roulette on my tank. If I said kill them lets get out of here and people would spawn them. And people would spawn to try to force xp. I would just leave. SE bribes 50s to help people complete content. I depreciate it from both sides. But they surely don't give them enough to be forced to kill every mob in the game. -

OP if you want to do it that way fine use Party Finder and not Duty Finder. 9 times out of 10 you are getting roulette people who would probably much rather leave than stay. Myself when I tank will generally ask a group when I see some are not 50 if they want to kill all or just fastest route boss to boss and let the majority rule. I don't mind that extra time, if the majority don't mind as well. But I still agree with others (and tested it myself - First room up to first boss ,kill first boss since we still have time before the 15 minutes, rince and repeat, goes faster xp-wise)
If you love the AV scenery and want to see them sprouting, up to you. But since if I read correctly, you want them to germinate to get XP (in order to maximize XP and lvl up)

And yes, I am one of those type that hates speedruns and brayflox hm, Tam-Tara HM (last boss fight is sooo good!) and Hullbreaker are very refreshing now (Stone Vigil HM is meh for me), until I will feel again the repetitive syndrome.
Lucky for us, 2.4 is coming and then we can expect new maps? or at least new dungeons.

I did AV the other night with a friend. I was the tank. Early on someone asked if we could go for XP and kill everything and let the seeds germinate. Had no problem doing just that and it ended up being a fun run. Had they not asked, we would not have gone through killing everything.
It you don't speak up, others don't know that you want to do it a certain way. Or, in the case of seeds, others might not realize there's more XP to be had by letting them germinate. I had just never thought of that, since the dungeon mechanic pushes you to killing them before germination. Other times, people just won't want to. Unfortunately, that's how things go with DF. Everyone has their own goals and no one agreed to anything before starting. -
