Unaffiliated Chocobo owners option

Since there are players who don't want to be part of an FC or maybe even buy personal housing, they need an option to train etc their chocobos.

Why not actually make the chocobo stables that are around Eorzea actually functional?
Unaffiliated players could stable their chocobos at these stables and get to enjoy the content they otherwise can't participate in?

For a stabling fee they can train and feed their chocobos. Fee waived of course if they agree to shovel out the stables everyday.

Even though am part of a FC I love this idea and have suggested something similar in the past(infact was kinda hoping this is how it would start - and the FCs would only get the facilities later on).

is the idea come from here because you dont want to pay for that 20k and now take the none FC player as sheidl for your idea or because you really care about them ? After read that thread and now this, it make me wonder about your motive for make those suggest idea. Not say I am against this idea

The devs have already made it clear that they plan to implement stable features via chocobo porters in an upcoming patch. So there's that.

No the idea came when I was thinking of how non large FC's are restricted and seeing how actual solo players are worse off. Not everyone wants to be in a FC or wants a personal house.

Smaller FC houses need to be able to be self sufficient and solo players need to be able to interact with their chocobos fully. FC stables are tied into gardening as is some crafting. Solo players are the worse one's off. Who really wants to pay 20k for a single item that is one use? Not us.

We have a yard that is more than big enough for 3 deluxe garden plots. We could be more self sufficient if we weren't restricted. For the time being we got rid of one npc to place a Junkmonger. Heck sell garden plot expansion permits. Garden crossbreeding from the ground up is time consuming especially with just one plot. Like I said there are Junkmonger npc's in the housing area that sell nothing, so why are they even there?

Are we getting frustrated with SE? Yes we are.

Thats good to know that solo's will be able to do stuff via porters.

We definitely need public paddocks.

For small FCs, I think they fixed this pretty well, the price increase of broombush is just a side effect of it being still 24h after the update, give it a few more days and the price will drop a lot, 30 stable brooms can last any FC like two months, it's a matter of time before they become pretty much worthless.

For solo players, they already said they had plans on implement this system on chocobo porters. but I'd expect either a big gil sink or limited features.

I wouldn't mind this idea. I'm in a FC but we're pretty small and even if we had enough to get a housing plot there's none left anyway. xP A few of us were debating among the officers if we wanted to give in and just seek out a FC with housing or that was closer to housing and had more active members then the 4 or 5 we have just so we could even get to see half of the updates that had come out over the last few patches. xP

Thats one thing that makes us want to grow our own, not knowing how the brooms work exactly. So we're balking @ 20k a piece for one time use item not knowing how it works. If only my retainers would bring a seed back sometime. Working on getting crafters and gatherers up to snuff has been eating our gil up lately, plus yea being casual player's there are alot of other things we try to get done when we are online.

SE will make it accessible for players w/o stables, they already confirmed it, but for now only those with a house will have access to it.

Don't wanna be rude, but you have to accept that you'll be missing content w/o a FC house, the next one is FC airships.

Oh and i like your idea.

I guess it depends on your server and which ward you like. Also there are FC's that were just formed so players could buy their own house, that was the only reason those FC's were started. I have also seen larger FC's with smaller satellite FC's in the same wards. That may explain some of your shortage.

That's not really related to FC airships :p it's part of the Ixal story, you help them build an airship.

That's fine but owning an Fc has its perks.I wouldn't be surprised if SE makes public stables cost some gil like 5000 if you want to use the facility.

I'm not part of an FC but am okay with some things only accessible to FCs. The right type of FC content will add some flavor and incentivize players to socialize. It will give unFC'd players like myself some motivation to find his/her niche within the community.

While FCs are social, most FCs are built around working together for things like instances, hunting, etc... basically content that doesn't mesh well with chocobos. I would like to think there will be other avenues for unFC'd players to train their chocobos (maybe not as efficiently as FC stables, but something nonetheless).

This is what's getting frustrating. Why are these universal options NOT the first rolled out, with the "FC-House" version coming later?
Every patch, it's becoming a trend of "You'll get this feature down the road!". :-/

Because we had to work to buy a house and we should be rewarded for our effort, they should release them at the same time, but if one of the option have to come first it should be the FC one.

And we can be here arguing about this forever and no one would be right, but SE needs to place incentives to buy a house or no one would buy it, they already said this from the start, at first housing would be only a social feature, but they would implement certain advantages for housing owners in the long term.

Maybe shout for an FC that'll take you in long enough and trust you enough to use the gardening, get your chocobo dyed, then leave?

Or why not join an FC, enjoy the benefits, and take fc chat off all your logs?

A lot of FC's don't mind people like that; you'd still be giving them FC points from things you do.
