Can we PLEASE have an option to turn off jewelry or even better some from of invisible glamour? Sometimes the jewelry can really mess up a carefully put together glamour set.
Other things people would like as far as accessories. ^^

Yeah, seriously, please. I don't know what its like in Japan but earrings on dudes is just...Ugh, let me hide them. Please.
Yeah, SE said that we'll get one eventually but haven't delivered.
I'd much prefer some cute glamor items so I can make them look pretty... but each to their own :)
I'd prefer both! Always love new stuff. Sometimes though, an outfit doesn't need gloves and a hat and earrings and bracelets. lol
the option to make a single piece of gear regardless of slot invisible via glamouring would be awesome, tbh i'm surprised it's not there already! but also, this game is in desperate need of more crafted vanity jewelry :I constantly i'm looking for things to match my outfits only to be met with just terrible options all around the board and it's really annoying.
I agree, though personally I never watch others' characters that carefully to notice their jewelry, I definitely do notice my own.
We have a ton of freaky jewelry. (Mog ribbons for example) that I can do without having to look at.
A simple on/off toggle like the helmet and weapons one would be great.
Bisexual male here, and I think certain jewellery (like some members have already said) can be really nice on males :-)
Yes please give us an option to turn off the display for jewelry. Males can't use the new Yukatas as a glamour item without a weird neck choker always being displaced because jewelry is always displayed. Please SE, give us the option to turn off jewelry display. :)
I think this was last brought up regarding getting invisible and/or taped up hand coverings so they could bare knuckle in fights but I'm pretty sure the devs said they had no plans to introduce invisible glamours then.
Plans are always subject to change, however (as they, themselves, have frequently stated), so don't give up!
I too am behind hideable items. So long as you can still examine someone to see what they're really wearing and they keep the no glamour rules where needed, I don't see what harm it could possibly do. It also shouldn't be any more server stressful than any other glamour (less so probably).
Just the other day I was running around on my little lala lady who has some nice silver hoop earrings built into her character. I put on some HQ brass coloured hoop earrings (she was on a low level class but I can't remember what they were) that I'd just made for her and the look of both hoops bugged me so much I ended up taking them off despite the stats they would have given. Obviously it's a much bigger issue at much higher levels but that was just the most recent time I've wanted invisible options.
The ability to go into battle looking like whatever you personally think would be cool for your character is a very personal thing and to some people it is very important.
While we may need the stats some piece or another offers, we shouldn't be forced to display it if there's no reason and if it goes against the ideals and concept of our characters.
Some of you seam to be under the misconception that I just want this for male characters. That's completely untrue. This actually most bothers me on my female alt, when I wear anything that leaves my wrists or neck bare then suddenly I'm forced to look at these clunky accessories. Now of course it's possible to glamour over them with something smaller but as someone already stated sometimes to get the outfit just right you want to have bare wrists and neck.
I dunno. I like the fact that our accessories actually show (depending on if your gear doesn't cover them up). Not many MMOs actually show things like rings, necklaces, and earrings on PCs even though they might allow for that equipment slot.
Though I will agree there should be an option to hide them, for those people who don't want them visible, just like there is for head gear and weapons.
I'm starting to think the devs should have a lot of sympathy for this request. If you look at a lot of promotional pictures characters aren't wearing jewelry. Or if you take a look around at NPCs you'll notice that a surprisingly large number of them aren't wearing any jewelry. Also, I was taking a look at the guild leaders in Ul'dah and noticed that only the weavers guild leader had on any jewelry, one ring.
Edit: After checking the other two cities I could only find a total of 3 that and any jewelry on and all of them only had one piece. It's quite obvious that the devs know that some outfits just plain look better when you don't have any accessories on.
Can't hurt to give this another bump while people are on the forums anyway during the emergency maint. :)
+1.
With the new yukatas, I finally found super nice ancient traditional outfit for the nekogami, and I thought "Hey! It fits!" then I noticed that, these outfit, unlike many others, show the necklaces... And... And... Oh, damn... I realized how **** ugly all of them are... Had to glamour all the necklaces to "horn necklace" because at least was black colored and, well, it's something.... But... Invisible glamours, please
I still hope that we get a toggle, and not a convoluted addition to the glamor system.
I hope they'll add more good-looking accessories. the ones we have right now are so oversize especially the necklaces.
So I recently changed from Lalafell to Hyur and as much as I used to think the accessories bothered me before it's way worse now!
I hope you're listening SE. /pray
Please yes. I give my support to this 100%. We can hide weapons and headgear but not earrings? And chokers just... really do not go well with some things.
Lord Yukata is a good example of how jewellery can screw up an outfit. Every current style of necklace(which are all chokers) ruins the outfit. It makes it look awkward and strange because the outfit already has a proper matching necklace that's built into it.
It doesn't even need to be part of the glamour system, just make it a show/hide option like head gear. show/hide neck, show/hide ears etc etc...
A lot of the current earrings are too small, at least for Miqo'tes. Most you have to zoom all the way in and really look for them to spot the little speck that's supposed to indicate the presence of a hoop earring (even though it doesn't actually look like one). There are some bigger but ugly earrings like the cactuar or bomb earrings. And the peach blossom ones would probably look nice on a female Miqo'te, but are a bit too girly for a male Miqo'te like my Y'kayah. The horn earrings and others of its style are the best I've found so far, but I'd really like some simple metal hoop earrings that are big enough to look like hoop earrings and not like a tiny speck stuck onto the corner of my ear.
But, more on-topic, yes, I'd also like to toggle any slot's item as visible or not, just as we already can for helmets. Baring that, an equivalent ability that's built into the glamour system would work too.
I'd like jewelry to appear on more armor. I love the look of High Allagan casting necklace and ring, but all my gear hides it :(.
Good news, everyone!
In patch 2.4 we will be introducing a new neck, earring, wrist, and ring accessory that do not have any graphics displayed, and by glamouring them it will essentially make it so these accessories are hidden.
