Bots and Curtain Hack?

If you are a gatherer/crafter in Balmung, you probably know who I'm talking about. The two bot archers that constantly farm in Coerthas with their chocobos up.

Lots of people including me have reported these two for their obvious botting but they still haven't been reprimanded yet. I tried to search these two by their names and nothing came up, tried to isolate bards/archers but they still weren't showing in the player search list. This is temporary though, at one point I can search them. At another time I can't. Dunno if this means that they are actively switching it on when things get shady on their side.

Is this curtain program a new thing that let's them stay invisible in the grid, which may be why they haven't been banned/locked yet? Seriously though, they've been active since, approx a 8-10 months ago >.<

That means they have to be hacking into SE servers/ databanks which they most likely are not

I've seen them a few times. I noticed if you steal the mobs after so long they log off.

Exactly, the client allows quite a lot ...that it shouldn't.

actually it did it tunneled the client data to send packets to the server and database just the same as you could tell the server you had xyz item and it would convert say an ether into an allagan platinum piece. their database security and packet encryption were well non existent to say the least.

I will refrain from posting links to the process here to avoid getting banned but if you look on redit or the bluegartr forums you can find out more.

I've seen similar people doing the same thing on Cactuar. Not sure if they're still doing it. It's interesting to watch.

Then again I'm more interested in the people on Cactuar named Cactbuc Ccc and stuff. Anyone else see groups of 4 THM/BLM people just standing around and queue up for things over and over on other servers?
