massively increase hunt frequency?

At the moment it\\'s possible for a fast (or cheating) team to catch every hunt, and since the monsters die almost instantly it denies all other players on the world from participating in this feature of the game.

Several hunts should be active at all times, so that it is impossible for a cheating radar team to be everywhere at once and monopolise this feature.

Killing a target could force others to spawn somewhere. Ideally there would always be a few available in each zone, so you wouldn\\'t need to keep loading different zones, you pick your favorite zone or one that is not overpopulated, and continuously search and defeat B and A ranks, with the S rank of that zone spawning every few hours.

If hunts are intended to be defeated by small groups then it seems obvious that there needs to be far more of them to satisfy the demand. To avoid increasing HP to balance for hundreds of players.... you need more monsters in the world.

Increase HP isn't the answer.
Increase the Defense, reduced damage by let's say 95% of all attack for the first 3min, then it decrease over time.
With that kind of change, it would make the NM last longer.

Also, the paper drop, if you claim the NM, it make ppl pull really soon.
If they give the paper only for thoses that have not the claim (good way to troll out the players), it will last longer too, maybe indefinitely longer until another one NM pop. ^^

The answer is really simple. It's not some cooldown or timer where the mob is invulnerable. That could backfire... badly.

Why not just base the mobs hp/defense based on nearby players or even the number of players in the zone? Simple/easy fix. If people are interested and nearby, then they have a shot. If a ton of people suddenly show up, well they can have a shot too. Just would need it to be able to scale as people show up. Like a stacking buff on the boss.

Why it must be from 100% to 0% HP and why we dont get the reward at end of day?

Well, hunts were never intended to be shared like they are atm. But yeah, SE should have seen this coming.

And you don't need hacks to "monopolise" hunts. Many linkshells use these hunt tables. The moment the mob is killed, it gets flagged as dead by players and the table shows when it will be up next time.

I don't think anyone understood the thread. I am saying there should be more hunt monsters at the same time to make up for the demand to use this feature. This way it is not necessary to increase monster HP and each monster can be fought by small groups of players as intended. If there are on average 3 hunt targets spawned per zone at any given time, totalling dozens across the world active simultaneously, then players can play in the zone of their choosing and enjoy the hunt without a small group of people monopolising this content.

Hunts are already way too rewarding, and you want even more up at the same time? :/ Just join a good hunting linkshell if you have concerns about making it to every B, A, and S rank that pops up. Socialize.

Pretty much what Rinchan said, there's more than enough as it is right now.

You must be playing on a world with different conditions and demand than mine. I am not concerned about making it to every hunt, I am concerned about making it to ANY hunt. The feature practically doesn't exist right now. There are hundreds of people searching for enemies that require only a few participants. If there are only 1 of these enemies in the whole world at a given time, do you understand how that is not enough.

Hunts are not too rewarding if the majority of people actively searching receive zero reward consistently. I see only cursing and death threats in the game, but here people are defending it like there's no problem...

So join a decent hunt linkshell? You'll make it to every A and S rank without issue and a vast majority of B ranks if you choose to. If there is any whining to be done it should be about how absolutely absurdly amazing the rewards are. Not about there not being enough hunts.

Ragnarok doesnt even have most population... there are much worse Servers out there, but i guess newer severs dont have that kind of problem, you know: iLvL 110 and so on...
Difference on JP servers is that they are waiting, but well... not so on Ragnarok, if you are not there within a Minute its already pulled...

I was making a suggestion that I thought was a good one and would make the game more enjoyable. More hunt targets around the world simultaneously so that more players are able to participate. This would not increase rewards for people already receiving rewards since they cant be in 2 places at once. You keep shooting down my idea and calling it whining, as if suggested the game is not perfect is whining.

You are not believing the condition I describe. I am already in a LS, believe me it is not possible to do what you are saying on my world. I cant participate in all hunts I want to. People do relay info, but the targets are dead seconds later, so its not useful information.

I'd suggest you to read this LL http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...808-11-2014%29 and the one before the hunt came out to understand why they don't want to make it easier for the whole server to be there for each mark kill.

The hunts were originally designed to be content for small groups, as surprising as it looks, they were designed to deny all other players on the world from getting reward from every single mark out there.

All of this was designed in a way so the majority will miss seals, your idea is the complete opposite of what they originally intended to do.

No the opposite of their intentional design would be to increase monster hp so that more people can fight the same monster. This is not what I am suggesting. My suggestion is to leave the monsters are they are but spawn more of them, so players would divide into smaller groups and disperse around the world tracking different targets instead of hundreds of people zoning in on the only monster available. My suggestion helps them achieve their original design goal.

If you are saying we should let there be just 1 or 2 monsters in the world at a time and expect 99% of players to ignore it and go home so it\\'s not a massive broken zerg, then what is the point of that. In that case why not make a dungeon that only 8 people per world chosen by random lottery are allowed to enter. Content designed for a fraction of users.

you dont even need radar anymore... just some coordination and time. People know when these things are in their window and are searching zones constantly so unless you are one of these people... and not just sitting in mor dhona waiting for a random shout then your never gonna make it. check the spreadsheet and GET OUT THERE AND HUNT!!!

and if your doing anything but shield lob, flash and maybe 1 rotation then your doing it wrong.

If people are using cheats to see the hunts on radar.

I believe they should be banned, its no different from what those jerryZ, JerryS, JerryB and the redapples the cherrys RMT groups did in FFXI with the hack that told them exactly where the NM was going to pop exactly.

I got JerryZ banned and JerryS for doing that stupid crap, they used to cast invisible you would have them targeted then they would instantly vanish and they would have the NM knew the position it was gonna pop even if it was all over the map.

It was for those kote and boots for my monk and I sat there and watched them claim those monsters non stop without anyone else getting the pop.

I knew pop time I would try to follow them but always seemed to beat you, friend claimed it once with dia and some how they stold it even when it was red to us.

Though if it aint a cheat or a third party program and they just use Linkshell to find it then thats fine but I say cheating and 3rd party tools are a no no.

If they had done hunts a little more like Levequests, there would probably be a lot less talk about how infuriating it is to make it in time on some servers. On the other hand, it would also not be nearly as useful a catch-up mechanism as it is currently (for some people, anyway).

Honestly, that's fine. Even S-ranks weren't exactly designed to have 100+ people ganging up on them. The more people you have piling onto the target, the harder it is for any one person to earn a reasonable level of contribution even while in a party (example: S-ranks where so many people show up the target is often invisible and the zone becomes unstable). That's especially true of A and B-ranks, but people absolutely insist on waiting for the entire server to arrive first.

I would say that the problem with the Hunt isn't it's design, it's the inability of the general playerbase to understand and comprehend it.

Only increase pops on wednesday.
