level 50 gear from dungeons

I Believe they need to set a limit to this stuff.

which applies to the Greed selection.

Like example if I have 50 paladin and a 50 dragoon or a 50 warrior.

The person that joined the same group has 30 paladin or 30 dragoon and a 30 warrior.

Would not be able to greed the item from under you unless they had the 50 job.

I mean it is done with glamour gear, you cannot glamour a 50 item to a 30 item so it makes sense, I don't see why it ain't the same for dungeon gear unless their item drops for their job.

Most would use it to grand company points even that should be locked to job specific items, if they don't have a 50 paladin and trying to trade a 50 paladin pair of pants its blacked out till they get to 50.

which would force people to level their other classes so dungeons are full.

also I ain't saying they cant greed it, though only if the same group of people have low jobs as well, though if someone has a 50 over their low end job, they have first strike.

So for example I'm tanking for my FC mates and a piece of bard gear drops that no one needs and my lets say up and coming level 45 bard could use said item then I should not be allowed to even lot on it? Sounds pretty brilliant to me, or how about we keep things as is.

I see far too many things hit the floor as is, with your proposed change we'd see gear hitting the floor non-stop like it was Syrcus Tower on a Tues.

Not really.

a person with a higher level job would have higher rights to that gear, sycus tower items drop because nobody wants them and go for their gear for their 50 job.

yeah if they pass it will go to you automatically, though if they want it they have a better chance of getting it before you do, because they have a 50 bard.

Even if they didn't lot it.

No, I am actually thinking of the long term effects of dungeons.

I would rather make them last longer, force others to level their jobs if they wanted gear.

it would also keep the dungeons full, reason anyone would be against this, is they want to speed through the game and want the stuff right away.

I ain't saying people can't get gear, saying someone with a higher job would be more liable to get it before them unless they were not 50, they could be 49 and still have same lot rights.

but 50 would have more of a chance.

It's a bad idea.

So what you're saying is that people who leveled all jobs to 50 but don't use those jobs at all have a right to screw over other players in the process of leveling those jobs and have intentions of actually using those jobs as a sub class. Because of fates and leve quests etc, it's ridiculously easy to lvl a class to 50 in almost no time at all. Most of us don't do it because we're lazy but I know several people who have done so. Most of the time they've just leveled the classes for the achievements but have no intentions of ever using that class in any serious content (or at all really). Following your logic, they have more rights to the gear than someone who has serious intentions of using the class.

That's the thing you assume I lost a roll, Can you tell me what I lost a roll to? I only go for dragoon and paladin stuff. though I stopped going for paladin stuff and run dungeons only dragoon.

So you gonna assume some more?

If I did lose to someone I wouldn't care.

exactly, you pointed it out.

Most don't level up your jobs cause you are lazy, people complain there aren't enough tanks or healers to fill the dungeons, I am just trying to find a solution to make people get on those jobs and level them.

What long term effects of game play are you talking about?

All lvl 50 dungeon loots are crap, because i90 gear are abundant via abundant myths. The rest are really for glamours for these group of players. What's the difference between a player with that job at 50 and another player without that job at 50 to roll on that item for glamour? Heck, I leveled my PGL to 50 because I had the Fistfighter chest and I wanted to wear it. Some people level up that job and learn to play it because they got a high level weapon for that job. This is actually a positive effect.

You know it is a bad idea, it is indeed a really bad idea that made no sense and the player base won't accept.

Except all your system is going to do is force people to play classes they never wanted to in the first place. Most *still* won't level the other jobs since as I said, people are lazy. Out of those that do though, I'm betting most of them will be HORRIBLE at either tanking or healing. As a healer, I have enough stories of terrible tanks to fill a thick book. I don't exactly feel like adding more. Dungeon queues won't get any shorter and more people will have bad experiences in dungeons. How does that better the community at all?

Why should one person have the divine right to get gear over somebody else.

If they want gear for a particular job, they can switch to that class and roll need.

Both players put in the same effort in the dungeon, so both players can roll whatever the hell they want.
Just because one person has leveled another job higher, does not mean they automatically "deserve" a piece of gear more than someone else.

I would rather have that, than in the future be flagged up for a queque for 3-5 hours.

Cause just imagine when all the other jobs come out, how bad it will be if they did the FFXI way where there were only 2 tank jobs and the rest were healers and dps.

If you played FFXI around 2006 or 07 they had a huge problem with people getting partys because of a shortage of tanks and healers. because they all got their stuff too quick.

Just imagine sitting there all day without no party.

Don't say it couldn't happen cause it can.

It already does at night time, I waited around 8 hours for a duty. I just logged out.

Because I have all my paladin stuff, I start thinking like you guys, let me stop playing my paladin job unless I need to, just get my time sand or oils for that job with my dragoon.

I mean I got all my glamour stuff and almost finished with my nov weapon and shield. No need to run dungeons on it anymore. if I start thinking that way this game is in trouble.
