Please Double the Myth from Labyrinth of Ancients

Wait times are greater than 30 minutes. There just aren't enough people running LoA anymore to make it a viable option for new players to get gear. If you can at least double the amount of Mythology so it is worth the time investment, I'm sure myth farmers would be more than happy to grind it out in the duty finder.

Unfortunately, there is a much easier and faster way to gear up: hunts. SE has essentially broken the balance of the game. Sucks, but the only thing you can do is get a spreadsheet and start roaming.

In order to make it a myth farm it'd have to be like 500 myth a run or something.

Adding special materials, mounts, minions, materia, furniture items, and a host of rare stuffs on top of the normal gears would do wonder to revitalize old dead contents. Chest should rewards you with gears, accessories, and 1 other highly sought after items from those. People respond to incentive, plain and simple. As it is now, there is almost zero incentives to go back and redo this LoA run for a measly 200 myth when you can farm this faster more efficient via Hunt.

It's a sad day when FFXI team did a much better job in revamping "older" content so that more people will go back and do them. Even if it is seasonal or on limited amount of time. This game could and should do better than this. Especially with the one year anniversary coming up. Make older dungeons drop great stuffs for limited time to rejuvenate interest.

jakeson's right. and, really, because of hunts, the labrynth isnt even viable option for gear. why wait all that time, for a chance to get gear when you can do 10 A rank hunts and get the chest piece, or the legs, or several accesories. not to mention the Bs which spawn more. you have something to do while waiting for an A.

if youre doing it for glamour gear, then there is no reason anything should be changed because you want to look good.

You still have to be able to get into the dungeon within a reasonable time. It also makes farming for the set difficult and limits what a person can do since they have to stay in queue for a long time.

I don't even do CT and i approve of this, when i got back to the game and needed the clear wait times were like 30 minutes-1 hour for healer no less. i feel really bad for DPS looking to clear this in addition to anyone else. all the gear is ilvl 80 and is LONG run, there is really very little incentive to do this anymore and for glamour you taking some serious risks of RNG.

glamour gear is just that, its for glamour. you can still get into the instance, but with a really long wait time, as for the amount of time OP said, 30 minutes is a good amount of time from a dps standpoint. youre glamour gear is something that you want to look good, it is not needed for progression, just your personal preference, and theres no real need to cater to that. considering you can still get in, there really isnt a problem

They just need to add UAT to hunts so there's no need to do CT. That'll solve the problem.

ST is something that people would do regardless. the possibilty of good il100 gear for free? i got tired of waiting for healer drops, so i have 2 UATs and some oil. when i see healer gear, i roll on it, but that when it shows.

to OP, if you are complaining about 30 minute queue times, try getting into anything as a dps class.

IDk... They already doubled the myth for LoA on the most recent patch to make the content more wanted if players are willing to go for it... LoA Myth is now at 200 where it use to be 100.

Myth inflation is clearly not the solution to the problem of decrepit content with how little it's been doing over the past 3+ months. We need unique rewards on the older stuff that keep people coming back in some way.

Regardless, you don't need to do ST for ilvl 100 gear. So it falls in the same boat as vanity gear. Heck, you said so yourself that it's not too reliable for gear anyhow.

They could revamp it so it only needs 3 tanks. It really doesn't need 6 tanks.

Hell, you can't sand the ST gear so as a long-term investment it's not worth your weekly lockout.

i did say that, but, if youre like me, and cant get past the first wipe in t5 because you dont have a static and you have to DF everything, then ST gear is great to hold you over until you can get the weekly cap for soldiery 2 times for one main piece of gear(chest, legs) or it can give you some good gear long enough for you to get the 1300 soldiery for the main hand

Right, so it'll just take a bit longer via soldiery alone. Still no reason for them to fix content so people can access the one remaining piece of content outside of hunts. Far easier for them to just kill that too.

Just do hunts.

Find out how your server handles them (typically server LS). They're more coordinated than they look.

Yeah, definitely hunts fault. I'm sure people can't wait to run a 50 minute dungeons that requires 24 players with zero difficulty and drops level 80 items (that also drops from the new dungeons btw, and they are faster and also have the novelty factor). Super fun!

ITT: People realize why vertical progression and 6 months cycle is bad.

This is a problem, a lot of new players or returning players will then unable to progress through contents and enjoy everything the game has to offer. This vertical progression is really a toxic poisons. A better fix would be to introduce a +1 versions of all the gears from older content/dungeons that you can get by having the base original ones then trade with some soldiery to transform them to their lvl 110 counterpart. And make sure the new ones has two materia slots so yo can actually add some stats augments you deemed fit. Watch how suddenly older content become "must FARM" content. It's a bandaid solution yes but at least it will revitalize the older contents.

I feel like you're lowering importance to this issue just because it's glamour and not gear progression, but if you analyze the content we have available even if someone runs CT for gear progression that gear would be replaced in max two days, it's raining myth out there, getting i90 takes less effort than i80, but glamour pieces will last you months.
