OMG is it true have We Been Blessed?

not tryin to jinx anyone but It's been almost 4 weeks and not one rmt tell have we been saved has the holy hammer that is yoshida finally fell the evil vomit inducing bile that is the rmt gods?

Praise be these days praise be these days we are free we are free?

But aside from my happiness speech has anyone else not seen any rmt as well?

There is still plenty of RMT spam on my server.

Ehm... No... I got some tells over the weekend.. Don't expect it to go away either, since there's not really anything you can do about it.

It is much, much better than it used to be, but it's still there. Funnily enough a week or so ago I commented in /fc that "hey, I haven't gotten a single RMT tell since the patch dropped!" and not even fifteen seconds later received my first RMT whisper of 2.3.

It's much more bearable now, I receive maybe one tell every few days and don't bother blacklisting them anymore because I never receive more than one from the same spammer now.

Why is this, anyway? Did something change/happen when 2.3 dropped that flew under my radar?

I still get the odd tell here and there :/

SE limited the number of tells per second that could be sent out.

Since 2.3 I've received about 3 tells. What happened?

Now that you've mentioned it, I haven't recieved a single tell since 2.3

Hopefully this is a sign that people aren't buying gil anymore...(<-highly unlikely)

That means your server rmt is taken over by your local server lalafell crimelord

Soon you will need to buy gil to prevent bad th8ngs happening to your minions..

- patch 2.3 if I read correctly there is a limitation on how many messages you can send.

EDIT : found it http://na.finalfantasyxiv.com/lodest...582d59335acd84

The number of Say, Yell, Shout, or Tell messages that may be sent per second has been limited.

- rmt seem to focus by group of servers; there was periods I got no message then suddenly they were back. But various things could have been the reason : the regular banhammer, the restrictions to create new character when server highly populated for example

I still get multiple tells from RMT every day.

I still get 1 every 2 days or so.

Spend more time in starter zones and you will get them.

let me play devil's advocate.....since is holidays time in most places...they too took some day off. Wait that it is in full effect again and you will see them back again.

Mei (evil mood)

I get several tells daily.

I've noticed a blessed decline in the frequency, but it is still occurring on Adamantoise for sure

Not only has the RMT spam remained the same but I'm now seeing map shouts for primal clears. This might be because I just started hanging out in Mor Dhona though.

Lol, if only, sadly no, people will always be lazy/fail at this game and will buy gill. that's like saying people no longer do drugs. it simply does not happen, the reason RMT are here in the first place is because OF gill buyers giving them business.

They still are out there, they just seem to be low because of not wanting to much attention like it was during the 1st stages of this game, i even seen some shout in towns.

In the past few weeks i had to blacklist about 10 of them, so they are out there. i guess it's just the time of day you play.

It happens once in a while for me in couerl. It's definitely a lot less. Before 2.3, I would leave the game on and sleep then wake up to 100s of RMT spams. Now if i do that I can actually scroll up and see in the chat log when I said "goodnight" to my fc.

Nope, it's still there.

Masamune must be immune to such tells, because I only had like 3 tells every since ARR started. 11 months/3 tells I like those odds :).

Like Yoshi said, RMT can never be 100% removed from the game but I'd settle for 90%. Pretty darn nice job SE's been doing. I still get a few tells here and there but there's so few in between that it doesn't bother me at all.

It's definitely down quite a bit from where it has been in the past. I've gotten 1 message from RMT all weekend, compared to the 3-4 every few hours I used to get.

They're still out there. I get one or two every 2 or so hours. Which is definitely an improvement over every 5 seconds.

About the same for me. I probably average one a day, some days getting none, others getting as much as 2 or 3, as opposed to the 2-3 or more I used to get every hour. I wonder if SE also implemented other measures they aren't talking about.

Yeah, still there. Heck, over the weekend on my server at the Ul'dah aetheryte, there were a ton of identically garbed players with similar names (All last name Lam as-per my server) that would just randomly appear and disappear again...

I still get tells occasionally, but it's definitely been reduced by a large margin. Thanks so much for the change dev team.

I've gotten about 4 or 6 at most since patch. Very happy about it.

I have been getting a lot less RMT. I get maybe one or two in the hours I am online per day. It's pretty nice compared to what it was before. Before I got one every few minutes if I was not in a dungeon or raid. It was extremely rare to go for over five minutes without getting one.

It has been greatly reduced. I still get 1-3 total per evening. Before, I couldn't watch a cut scene or even leave my room at the inn without getting hit at least once.
