Please consider rebalancing drops in older content when newer content is introduced.

#1 example:

Leviathan EX.

Mirror in Leviathan EX is 1% drop rate. This makes being able to put together an i100 weapon from this fight incredibly rare, requiring 100s of wins (or insane luck). I've cleared this fight well into the triple digits. Seen 2 mirrors. Won 0. Acquired EVERY OTHER ITEM from the fight. Probably mirror drop rate shouldn't be so crazy low, you know?

However, in current environment, you can easily put together multiple i110 weapons without doing anything particularly difficult. You can easily acquire UAT from Syrcus Tower, and easily acquire Sand of Time from the Hunt.

So what is the reason behind making what is essentially only a vanity item a 1% drop rate that requires folks to clear the content 100s or 1000s of times over? This is a huge waste of time, similar to making all the mounts only 1% drop rate. If you want items to be rare, gate it with difficulty, not with a slot machine.

Bear in mind I LOVE doing Leviathan EX, and I still don't want to do it 500-1000 times before getting a mirror because... really guys? I mean, REALLY?

If Leviathan handed out mirrors more often people would do Ramuh less, making an already unpopular fight even less popular.

Stop doing Levi and start doing Ramuh?

Aren't you guys bored of it anyway?

Yeah the devs really, really didn't think the newest update through. The time/effort/reward factor for everything is completely wonky.

You can't do it *easily* as each weathered weapon worth 3 weeks of soldiery cap.

Just go to Ramuh for Ilvl100 weapon? or spend some time with Animus?
Leviathan meant to be ilvl95, on par with Allagan weapon. Ilvl100 was nice addition for ultra hardcore crowd. Why change this as newest Primal have only 30% for ilvl100 weapon and for time being quite harder than Levi which ppl can farm with closed eyes already.
it's like asking to up 2.2 Ex primals because "we are in a new content, pls give us more".

Seconding Krr. They need to keep the old content reasonable in respects to new content. The longer they hold off on rebalancing drop rates, the more work they will have in the long run to keep previous content viable.

I'm not sure if they expected RamuhEx to be as difficult as it is for players. As we see it, the drops of Ramuh really aren't that worth compared to other available gear and weapons. As it currently stands, they would have been better off making an iLvl.105 class to put the Ramuh gear/weapons in and buff them to a midpoint between i100 and i110. This would have at least made them unique and worth seeking after.

Making Sands and Oils of time more accessible was okay, but they shouldn't be as accessible as they are. I don't think it's fine they can be obtained through Hunts (or at least as easily as they are), but I do think it's fine they can be obtained through Syrcus Tower given they count as your one-a-week item.

I'm not going to talk about the weapons because there's obviously better choices, but the rings from Ramuh are all extraordinarily useful for any dps job not in current need of the accuracy on their soldiery and HA rings. And the healing ring is BiS for SCH over the HA Ring of Healing.

i don't mind something being super low drop rates when it first releases, but as they add echo buffs and other incentives to run the older content in later patches the drop rates of that gear should be increased as well. that's just my opinion though.

keep it 1% on release
next patch when they add the 10% echo buff increase it to 5%
following patch when they increase echo to max up it to 10%.

this way gives more incentives to drop back and help others catch up.

People should be asking SE to not invalidate content every update instead of making it easier to get.

I figured the accessories would be pretty good, SE has done a good job ensuring that at least, but my post was primarily about weapons. There is so much obsolete weaponry in this game it's almost baffling.
