Cook me a Cake. ty :)
MP pool increase food = soups
I want cookies... and I don't want to use 50 ethers to fill up my MP. TYVM <.<
Just a quick question, How much does [Kiss of the Morning Meadow] Heals MP? Just trying to see If it's worth buying it than Ethers
Can you rephrase your OP please.. not all mages are crying like babies
i didnt mean you to spam drink ethers , are you mad? it will give you an ulcer, what i meant is, keep a stack around just in case if in the middle of a fight you run out of MP an ether or 2 can make the difference, also if you find the right soup for you you pool can go up to around 100+mp for 30 mins per soup
also you would be helping your local cul and alc b(^.^)d
I believe when I used it it was 150 mp but also gave a refresh effect that recovered around 100 mp/tic when idle, if I remember right. It's pretty nice in a pinch for how little it costs. I think Onyx Tears acts like an elixir, restoring some HP and MP, but I haven't used one recently enough to know by how much.
Dear melee's. Stop complaining about the lack of heals, because your conjurers heals now cost more than 15% of their MP total and start carrying potions and equipping your own heals!
You see how that works both ways?
Melee's didn't get a nerf. They got a buff. Your abilities are no longer restricted by stamina, you've got auto-attack and you've got no MP increase on your weaponskills. We, on the other hand, received MASSIVE mp rises on our primary spells, making them very restricted use and absolutely NOTHING in return. Oh wait, Raise was lowered to rank 14, but has a 100mp cost and we won't have enough MP to cast it if we make any kind of attempt to prevent people actually needing ressurection.
Carrying ethers would be fine, but they restore rubbish amounts of MP that wouldn't even cover the cost of a single heal! We'd be popping them like M&Ms just to make a single Cure I.
I didn't mind them breaking down our spells to single cast and area effect. FFXI had the same, I can live with it here. I didn't mind them making us more careful about how we cast spells. I can live with that too. The jump is just too extreme here, and there's no counterbalance. No increase in MP totals, no potency increases and no benefits other than a massive climb in costs for doing the job we've been doing for ages.
Yes, im a grumpy mage and im glad to be. At least im one of the outspoken masses who makes any sense!
Playing an MMO should be more than just chugging potions like a diablo clone would have you do.
tbh keeping mp at a healthy level isnt difficult if you plan in your head how you intend to use it before hand. that way if something does not go to plan, you have spare mp to keep you safe :)
Lucinda x
I do equip my own heals and carry my own pots/ethers/foods because I'm not a bad player. Attacks like light strike now cost us MP and the MP increase on cure/sac means we ALSO cant spam heals on ourselves, and you know what? It's for the better. You received a massive MP rise on cures, that's it.
Play your class properly.
So who were the assholes who complained about the only 2 magic classes in order for this nerf to exist anyway?
Show me those idiots and I'll show you a reason this game is failing...
Dear melee...
Please stop complaining about heals and start using Potions and food.
play smart, dont be lazy
thank you.
dear lemuria, i am an archer so yeah you can keep your healz
good day...
I SAY..GU' DAY!
also i see more mages complaining about mp than melees (complain about something melee related (?))
and im sorry for the ones that are actually not complaining, you should know this post is not meant for you.
what i was trying to say is that people just wnat SE to change stuff istead of trying stuff that is in the game already
im an archer and i do eat my acc+ food. since im cul also i make my lunchbox before going to battle
also it dosent work both way you see
a healer job is to heal if melees get their pots on you would be alone in a corner bored to death >.<, unless you ask for melees to equip trowing potions to enfeeble the mob which would be nice to.
so everyone, start using consumables before asking to "fix' stuff
thank you
Not all of us are complaining. Some of us like the changes.
You know what? I'm a 50 thurm and beat the 50 Dungeon and got the mage pants and I love my class! Thurm is better than ever! Whaooo!!
yay pants!
Conjurers aren't dedicated healers though. Maybe after the job system is introduced they'll have the option of focusing on being a healing, at the moment their rolls are mixed. The also have their elemental nukes and DoTs. Not all conjurers want to be healers but most melee will expect them to be in a party.
Here are my personal thoughts: (Not trolling here or anything)
People with CONs complain because the cost of heals have gone up considerably. I will agree that this high MP cost in heals is a bit much BUT the class is still playable. As many mentioned, MP management is key now. Since the patch released, I've had to change my play-style to adjust to the new changes, and by now I'm able to manage my MP just fine by using the right skills. Using food to raise the MP pool also helps as well.
But the way I see it, this is an incomplete form of the battle system they have in mind. As it was stated in the "Battle Reform Blueprint":
This alone puts a little relief, since if that goes in effect by 1.19, then those points I have put in MND will have a higher effect than now, which means a higher MP pool. I just hope they do it right so it offsets the high MP cost of cure spells and whatnot or at least a bit more balanced where you still have to manage MP but not to the point to where by 6 to 7 heals you're already almost down to 0 or very low MP.Quote:
The decision: attribute point allotment will no longer accompany gains in physical level, and will instead occur when characters rise in class rank. Although the amount in frequency of points awarded will be lower than previously, players will find that each point will have a more profound effect.
if the mages job is to heal and your expecting us to spend extra gil to 'use ethers and food'
then we're gonna expect you to do your job properly too and get some +1 gears or better with your current class listed as OPTIMAL on the gear set for maximum stat results.
sucks to think theres some melee telling us to spend more when they wack around mobs in minimal quest dropped gear and make us cure them more than we have to. Im not saying all fit in this category but im more than sure its ALOT.
thank you
exactly im an archer and i use optimal rank arrows, this makes me a better more efficient archer.. eating food and using ethers makes you a more efficient mage.
** i also use acc+ food. or atk + food depending on the mob evasion.
what problem with ethers??
40mp+ instantly not good enough??
ok i adress this to everyone dont complaing about your mages mp .. go buy them food and ethers!
LOL :P
