Hello Rokien here again, I hope everyone is having a great weekend so far. I was just curious if they added any decent open world content yet or is it all still a spam fest of aoe? From what I have seen the only good gear is still obtained from instances that makes an mmo just a multiplayer game.

As for open world content, no, it's still an AoE spam, where it will continue to be so until they completely rework every class to not have those abilities. Only now, you can earn allied seals to buy good gear, so it makes it even more obnoxious how many people are doing it! -

by the way your soo amazing hunt that FF11 player have ask and did get (even if it's not the same) are only FATE without UI.
the game had open world content, sadly with the population per server and the size of the world, this content was blow away by the zergfest... and strangely, your precious hunt are still a zergfest, since i often see more of 20-40 people on a monster for a group of 2-4 person.
ps: i wish the FF11 player stop to ask to turn FF14 into FF11-2, the relic quest it's this insane grind fest because of this, the hunt have become a joke too. seriously FF11 was another game way too much different for bring feature that was working there.
you had less player per server, you had a far more wider world too. NM was working there because of this.
the grindfest was working too because the add of content wasn't this important every 3 month.
now let's simply hope SE will wake up and stop to listen to the nostalgic player of FF11 and make us a true FF14:ARR! not this desperate try to please a community that come from another game. -

it will only lead to return of some cheat like the claimbot or other stuff like this. we already see it with the radar some use.
however something that can work is to reword leves for allows people to help the one doing leves and add high level one with big monster.
Faction leves need to be bring back and enhanced... not what we did get. -

If your never going to stay currently subbed over crafters not making BiS gear then you never will, Yoshi is never going to do this, dungeon runs at 50 outside of storyline would become irrelevant and the game would probably need to have a major rework, they have already done that (1.0-2.0). Making crafters control BiS at endgame now would only turn the game into FF-Farming online, and you think the world is too small now.
The silver lining of course would be that people might actually stop screaming at people who watch cutscenes but I wouldn't bet on it.
Ilvl90 accessories are already BiS for the most part, and they are priced accordingly, that's probably as good as it's ever going to get for crafters.
Much of the "fixes" that are asked for in this game would require replacing an expansion with an extensive rework that would most likely deliver about the same volume of content we have now, be that in 6 months or even as mentioned maybe a year that wont keep subs either, people outside of hardcore FF fans wont wait for a rework. -

lots of ffxi haters here, hunts are fine, they give high end gear as reward and that's the problem, remove sands, remove oils, halve myths abd remove alex from hunts, and the instanced crowd will go back to their caves.
Don't forget no one asked for coil gear in open world, thas a big fail from SE, not what ppl asked.
And if you want ppl to stop asking for ffxi or ff(insert number here) features, call the game ultimate fantasy or world of fantasy or world final fantasycraf. -

What's wrong with this game is that they SHOW you everything and hold your hand through everything. The reason why every area gets spammed by people when an event happens is because A. If they plan to stick to this idea of "Notorious Monsters"; then I'd like for them to adjust them to behave similar to the big events in Guild Wars 2. Where bosses abilities/HP scale depending on the amount of people in their proximity.
If there is 20 healers around and 20 tanks, there is no reason why these monsters should be hitting for nothing. -

The hunt system should each week alot a set of NM's around each zone and each Free Company registered on the server your FC is given a mark to go hunt once excepted that particular NM can be spawn of whatever conditions, but it is only claimable by your free company and it scale up or down depending or how many are involved large or small FC's but gives you a decent challege to defeat not this zerg crap we have know.
I think open world NM should still be there also everyone can take part so maybe rare gear a chance for it to drop an force spawn item and have to hunt that particular rare NM but what we currently have no thank you. -

The overwhelming majority of NM's in XI were pushovers and dropped no gear or loot or much anything of value for that matter....
Even landkings weren't that tough.
As for 1.0's NMs- yeah, some were tough as nails. I remember the Great Buffalo.
I also remember killing NMs for nothing more but an achievement/personal kudos of having felled such a mob. :>
For the Hunt mobs, I still stand by my view of removing Sands/Oils from the vendor.
It would bring the Hunts down closer to what you specifically may be searching from them.
Also keep this in mind; even the Great Buffalo of 1.0 would be dead in an instant if it had 100+ players zerging it.
Bottom line: People asked for this and now they complain about it.
