Today's Maintenance: What's it for?
Just datacenter maintenance.
Again more of this? I'm going to need a couple of free days added to my account because this is getting fusterating!
It's not like they could have done this during the Ramah EX nerf!
Suck it up it happens. I don't see anyone QQ when its the Japanese datacentre getting the maint.

Most likely for this
Yeah, unless they work the odd hours and have a nice maintenance for the 3rd time this month right in the middle of your free time.
This is regular maintenance. It usually happens every 2 weeks on average but sometimes they for 3 weeks or a month in between.
And people are not owed a free day or a refund. In the TOS people agreed to, they accept that there will be times that the servers will be down that we just have to suck up. Though you can bet that whenever more than 1 maintenance happens in a week there will be a thread on the forums of someone complaining and demanding a refund
ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!
basically they hot fixed early because of the titan and ramuh issues, and couldn't fixed everything known then. However they had to ignore things they weren't ready to fix yet. so expect another maintenance or two since they are rushing things.
Ah. Saw the NA/EU bit and assumed it was the usual.
But this is what you get for outsourcing. I am guessing the maintenance would be related to the server hosters in Montreal, Canada. The NA servers are also subject to internet service maintenance (previously on Apr 25 and Dec 27). That is just the cost of having servers in your region away from SE HQ.
This can actually be a good thing sometimes though. Japan is prone to many natural weather phenomena such as Typhoons (hurricanes) and earthquakes. Being from Canada, I know that Montreal is less prone to these disasters. They might get the odd bad thunderstorm that might knock out power but Ive yet to see them get hit by a hurricane or earthquake :P
Not to mention, the latency would probably be better for those of us in the US.
I thought it was tomorrow.
