This is hilariously pathetic.
75k, and I bet, no one even calls stuff out.
They all kill em, if they find em (no problem with that, but if you paid 75k lol).
O_O , wth ...
What the fudgenuts? ...(*・・*)??
Pople are making gil off hunt Linkshells????
( ̄_ ̄#)*.... naul just died again....
75,000 gil is a lot o money. This isn’t Fable 3 where you can get 80,000-150,000 gold every 5 minutes! What were the rules they had and was it worth it?
i didnt join so have no idea about rules. Im not gonna pay for sth like this. Its just pathetic.
When you get on, ask them why they charge 75,000 gil just to join. Find out the reasons behind it.
Theres another thread about same issue.
It's stupid how SE didn't see this coming.
Ya hunt LS I'm in has had to introduce a "no selling places" rule, since other LS's are
Lord willing u will a group that you can join for FREE! My thing is I wish allied seals sold 90-100weapons or 90-100 gear that i could put on my retainer(Kite Tenjo from Yugioh Zexal) but no. Its grindy and i can’t used most of it.
That's pathetic, glad I'm not interested in hunts.
I've heard... stories regarding hunting Linkshells, however nothing was even similar to this. (What I heard was more about the general attitude of people in said linkshells)
Boy oh boy... Worst of it is that some would pay the money, too.
How did SE not learn from FFXI where every big LS had claim bots? Surely SE thought to never make popular stuff again which needs to be claimed/hunted down?
I guess SE keeps amazing us with both amazing and content-breaking stuff. I guess this is part of their charm. :/
It's been quite a few years since I've read about this and didn't think I'd ever see this pathetic claim again. While I am absolutely against cheating, I think I can safely guess you're just spewng conjecture around. Or did you have any sort proof that everybody that claimed HNM in FFXI botted ?
You know why Alukah?
Easy work around. Use a bard. Follow the huge groups of these people (should be easy to recognize) and pew pew. No work or money on your end.
Cheers
I suppose it depends on the attitude. There's definitely a feeling of 'inclusion' with most Hunt-LS's, though. My current Hunt-LS, for example, demands that you not share any information with any other LS's, and will actually get mad if you share any pop locations with your current full-party.
They also get mad for not using <pos> and <t>, even if you're nowhere near the mob and are just relaying information to help them move faster.
It's pretty toxic, but it's voluntary.
I just noticed it's also from a guy who claimed summoner are the way they are because Yoshida apparently worked for Blizzard so he'd know Affliction Warlock. It's addling how people can come up with these claims.
And it's begun on my server. Just saw someone spamming /shout to advertise selling Rank A and S kills for 100k.
How do you expect them to response immediately when we don't even speak the same language.
The JP ONRY thingy don't only extend to games.
Like I said before.
1) Takes them time to gather data
2) Takes them time to translate the data
3) Takes them time to put up a response
4) Takes them time to translate the response
5) Takes them time for the patch to go through
Even they know it will screw up the gameplay or players, instantly after the patch goes "live". It will still go through the same process. Why? Because Red Tapes.
So unless it concerns:
1) Affects JP/EN/EU players all at 1 go, which caused a huge Firestorm like the AH gil jack hack
2) Affects Credit card Security
3) Affects Server Security like DDOS, etc
We will not see a response immediately.
I don't care about hunts either but I would like some of the GC gear you get from Allied Seals & that's what bums me out. This is (from what I heard) the only way atm to get Allied Seals. No way will I have a chance at these stupid Elite Hunts. And I'm not about to join a LS considering everyone seems to be douches about Hunts lol
Well at least that's what I gather from here, I'm just gonna wait till there is other ways of obtaining Allied Seals ^_^
Not sure what game you were playing, but claiming bots were part and parcel of HNM in XI. If you wanted to get hold of any of them consistently you pretty much needed claiming assistance. Or some other shell with bots would beat you to the claim.
Of course this wasn't so much the case later on, but when Kings and Cerb/Khimaira/Tiamat were in full demand, you can bet your ass all of the top shells had people using claim bots. Serket is a daft example, it wasn't worth camping for any serious HNM shell. Nobody cared about NQ behemoth either, the only reason to kill it was to get ToD for the next window. Post Abyssea is was pretty common to see him walking around unclaimed.
And SE did learn from it, they stopped making ground HNM's in XI, or made them harder to bot claim e.g. Ixion and Sandworm.
Part of the problem is that players can attack a boss they do not have a bill for. So now you have players farming elites for seal and tomes. That is a mistake SE should correct. Make it like leves where other players can not attack a target that is not theirs. I used to shout out boss names and positions (macro) but now considering hunt LS's and players actually trying to sell spawns ( I can see some griefing here) I probably will no longer do that. I was only doing it so those that needed it knew it was up and where. As for FFXI, I avoided sky after a brief stint with a LS ( got to the point they wanted me to do dynamis and other end game with them only, don't think so :) ).
Why do ppl think it's wrong if ppl make money through game mechanics?
It's like real life, people come up with a bussiness, and if other ppl like it they pay for it.
An mmo is like another world, another life, and you don't always need to play within the games boundaries
As long as it's not RMT or Scamming I don't mind it. I think it adds an extra level to the game
I think they were hoping for or more friendly helpful community. Players don't pay a sub to then have to pay another player access to stuff. Who knows who is and isn't selling currency? The point ie: like DF is you should help your fellow adventurer, instead of preying on them. When another player deliberately blocks another player from accomplishing a task with demand for gil, you don't see anything wrong with that? Pay me! No? F you I wont tell you where it is and just kill it.
I could say the same for you,
SE dropped the largest banhammer known to existence years after they had all the associated data and information and back-handed witty compliance needed to nail those very successful linkshells who thought needing to Bot/Dupe/Glitch/Abuse was the best idea since sliced bread.
What people don't understand is that this situation could very well be the start of something nasty and game-breaking for the progression of players and the game itself.
The last thing we need is LiveJournals, Tumblrs, Twitters, Facebooks filled with giant speeches made from the top 5% of the game players QQ'ing about how "innocent" their antics were. If you're cheating, you're cheating no way around that.(It did happen by the way. Most cases were beyond pathetic.)
If you're selling runs, it's up to the player to associate themselves with cheaters but if they get caught in the fire, what are they going to say?
"Uhhh, I didn't know?" Yeah good luck getting out of that.
How people run their linkshells is up to them. It's not an issue as some of you people are calling it. They can charge 1 billion gil for entry if they want.
lmfao wdf.
Money make the world go ´round ^^
just don´t bother with them, get a LS which doesn´t take a Fee... just stupid xD
It's funny because I did FFXI endgame for years during the KB/Fafhogg/Aspid and Dragons era and the most prominent claim botters were the small LS that had in their mind, just like you, that everybody and their mother used them and that was confirmed when the SE did the banhammer of the century in the Aht Urgan expension and yet nearly no one I knew (and I knew the leadership over every LS worth a damn on Bismarck) was banned but lo and behold, so many "innocent" players unfairly banned from their little endgame LS
How is this a hunt problem?
People have been selling primal runs and whatnot long time.
