You mean as a secondary Job for Archer? I agree that that should be added, but...
Red Mage. Come on, SE. You can do it.
Alternatively, Dark Knight as a DPS Job for Gladiator.
Green Mage as a second job for Conjurer. Still healer, but more specialized in buffing the party and debuffing the enemeis.
Either that, or Geomancer, DPS/support job for Conjurer.
Thief mostly because they are another option for support/range/dps sick of bards catching all the heat about being resented because they're viewed as easy to use.
How would thief differ from rogue?
He could foresee traps before anyone like aoe would show to him first briefly before any else and haste buffs etc.. Not sure if a rogue has a range weapon like a dagger or pre-emptive attacks and dodge.
Dark Knight, then Samurai.
Samurai tank would be unreal.
Oh, and we need a caster tank of some kind. Not Red Mage, a pure caster. No I don't know how that would work.
Dark Knight :D! it will probably be Great Sword like Cecil, but I also want a return of Scythe Dark Knight (or a Scythe weilding class in general) Idk why just like the idea of it as a weapon lol
I'd like to see Geomancer. An offensive branch of conjuration, where you would harness the environment as your power.
Could possibly be a tank too. Instead of casting spells like we do now, they manipulate the ground/environment (obviously only graphically) quickly. So they function like melee but have all of the flavor of manipulating a magical force.

My first choice for a job would be Beastmaster as a DD. Dancer would be a fun choice as well for a new healer type of job.
I second beastmaster. You can even tie it with hunts. Is allowed to keep a pet for a week and he can only get another one from hunts. Give him some useful tools to track down hunts to making him valuable on hunting parties. Nothing obvious like "the hunt is here" but just vague clues when he enters a new zone.
We all know that after Rogue Musketeer is coming or a very big Riot will happen.
We are waiting since 4 years for this class
Would like to see how Dancer would tie in with FFXIVs battle system. But yus, DPS and CC, maybe some buffs which assist healers too. Regens for mana maybe.

I read about them alot but never ever played one and they sound like fun. I already like being on my summoner for a mix of DPSing and revving, so being on a class apparently more meant for that with more skills for it would be fun x3
Dancer- if they continue with the job system now, should work off rouge.
Dark knight - I just really love dark magic and seeing diabolos' skills gets me hyped.
Time Mage - I love tactics, such a good game
Geomancer - I really love tactics. This would probably be my main if it happens.
Dancer, as either a support/DPS (Melee version of Brd but more... supportive) or a Gypsy/Healer role.
Mystic Knight! I want my Sword! magic ^_^
The lack of an Elemental wheel makes them a bit more complicated to implement, but the different elements could just cause status effects, buffs/debuffs.
After Ninja? Honestly, I would like to see a return of Templar. Lance tank, hoooo!
Chemist. Being an healer/buffer/debuffer using a gun. Yes Please!

Gunblade. Gunblade! GUNBLADE!!!!
It is part of FF14 world and already has a lore.
There is even two type of Gunblade designs now with Garlean having long sword Gunblades and Cid introducing the Shortsword type Gunblade as his weapon.
I know Gunblade class is limited to Garlean NPCs and Cid until farther notice but Gunblade class is something I would love to get my hands on.
A interesting thought is that Gunblade class in FF14 is already known for being a Melee/Range class in FF14 so they can design the Gunblade class to have a Tank Job that focus on Gunblade melee combat and a DPS job to focus on Gunblade's range combat.

If the ending cs of ST is any indication, gunblades are likely at some point. This type of class is the ONLY thing I will ever want, and would be the only thing that would kill my interest for DRG, even if it's a tank class. They did the same sort of teaser for Rogue/Ninja and...we all know how that turned out, or will turn out, rather.
Thief would be a Rogue with 5 new abilities to make it into a Thief. I've said this before but just because SE didn't want thief as a class doesn't mean it won't be a job. They left the doors open at E3 by mentioning that Rogues were once thieves so imagine 5 new abilities taught to us by an elder master Thief who rejected the new lifestyle Rogues would achieve
On topic: I'd love to see Samurai but would mostly want to see Thief or Blue Mage
Mug: deals damage and takes a meager amount of Gil. Besides the steal gil part Mug would work out decently
There's also abilities from older games with SATA (support attacks to remove/add enmity to party members; will be nice for the overzealous DPS and tank swapping) , Zidane's Treasure Hunter ability (forgot the name but got stronger with more steals), Flee (faster movement speed for X seconds), etc
There's only one class I would love to see added to the game: Blue Mage. I want a class so genuinely different to everything else we've got so far that it literally stands in its own style.
Instead of being granted skills simply from levelling, you would go out into the wilderness to do battle and learn the skills from your opponents. Skills to heal, skills to harm, skills to protect. It could be the first true hybrid class, able to fill multiple roles rather than being a plain DPS or Healer.
After the hunt, anything with widescan.
...but on a serious note, blue mage or mystic knight.

Sidenote: a PROPER pup with expensive or questable parts and it's own job which makes pup one of the deepest and most hardcore jobs with high level of customization in FF history.
Also the amount of love needed to create your own perfect automaton forms a bond between you and your puppet like no other game can. You'll love your automaton and treat it with respect.
