You know, none of her posts stated anything you mentioned. Using this thought process though, when you select Hard, Very Hard, Extreme or some variants of those in games, I bet you expect the game to get EASIER, right? Right? Just like when you choose Easy, Very Easy, Novice, Beginner you expect the game to get extremely difficult, right?
By now people should have expected this game to be on the extremely easy side as yoshi said he's making it so people new to MMOs will fit in and you can play for a month or two and quit for a month while waiting for the next update.
Meanwhile the rest of us are STILL stuck at Titan EX ...
I must be oldskool because I can't think of a challenge skipping because of diffyculty. Getting a skilled party together for it is like trying to find hey in a needle stack.
Did you know? Leviathan only drops i95 weapons but an item to upgrade them to 100 at a low chance? So what you just stated kind...proves her point that it should have been more difficult than it was. Also purposefully going in undergeared is called artificial difficulty, something you should never have to do.
Considering when this was released and how long people been playing and how long it takes to get even to basic i90, switching to i50 (if you even can) is just silly. In the end though, difficulty is subjective since there's people who find Mario games a challenge and people who find Dark Souls easy (they are easy games, getting instant gibbed isn't difficulty.)
I think you're struggling with the concept at hand here. The OP after trying 1 hour only reduced the boss down to 30%, that by no means is a victory or easy-mode. Therefore, what exactly is the point of creating a thread criticizing the fight's difficulty when the hardest part could be in the sub 30% area. Personally speaking, it took my guild in Everquest a little under a month to get an expansion boss down from around 10% to dead through a combination of tactics and gear farming. So, yeah, it seems a fairly easy concept to grasp that until you beat something you can't really comment fully on its difficulty?
Complaining when you didn't even beat the boss yet. You said you beat it if you have more time. But of coursed, if everyone have the time and the group, anything is possible. What I don't understand is that you are already complaining the fight is too easy when you only get it down to 30%. This is not even close to it being defeated. Take example Titan Ex, the Difficult only begin when his HP reach below 30%.
For a Primal that drop ilevel less then coil, you shouldn't expect much anyway.
It's possible you and your team are simply too good for this game and should seek challenge-satisfaction elsewhere. Not sure what kind of work you do, but maybe consider taking up a trade? Plenty of challenges there.
I mean I understand that these EX modes are easier than the previous ones, but like how many wipes do you actually want to put into content? I hope the 'brutal' difficulty level will be a good compromise. I'd honestly rather see an extra difficulty created than the content be nerfed into the ground after a few months.

Go back in.
Tell me how easy it is. Better yet go in all the new dungeons at the lowest ilvl you can and tell me how easy they are.
I will laugh when you come back here and say " IT TOO HARD, NERF". People don't pay attention to the ilvl of something
and the gear they enter that instance with. Of course you are going to blow through it with i98 ilvl or higher.
The "do the content at the required ilv" argument is flawed primarily because it is extremely easy to acquire ilv100 gear. Having SCoB as the only place where iLv 100 gear is a necessity is not a smart move because it just makes everything else too easy by comparison. Every patch offers us faster ways to gear up, yet we keep getting fights that have a lower ilv requirement than the best gear you could have in 2.0! There is no point in adding better gear and increasing the speed of getting it (now with weekly tomes and ST) if devs keep releasing fights that do not require that gear to be used.
Makes me laugh how people complaining about the easiness of dungeons are people that are doing such things as second coil savage and are already at ramuh ext and it's been about 24 hours since the patch.
I mean god forbid we had players still stuck in garuda ext and first coil. Screw them though right. :(

The "The game is too easy when my ilvl is near max" argument has no sway here. It's supposed to be easier when you're that geared.

It IS supposed to be easier with that gear, yes, but like I said in my previous post, even the highest non SCoB content requires an avg iLv that is lower than the best gear you could get when this game first came out nearly a year ago. SE keeps adding alternatives to get i100 gear but there is only

Yes, there ARE people that are still stuck in Garuda EX, but that content is not going anywhere. Continuing to create content with lower ilv than the best gear you could have in 2.0 really makes you wonder why distribute ilv 100 gear so easily
Because dear sir, the purpose of the game is to make content as balanced as possible for EVERYONE. In no way is ramuh ext easier than garuda, and leviathan extreme isn't easier by standards than titan. The reason people find titan to be much harder is because of the margin for error, but honestly mechanic wise it's a repetitive and scripted fight, where as to leviathan has the randomness to it and is a HUGE dps check.
My point is that it's true, garuda isn't going anywhere, but because you specifically are geared enough and skilled enough to beat ramuh ext 24 hours after it's release doesn't make it an 'easy' fight or even easier than the others. It's a matter of personal perception. Complaining about it is utterly silly.
