No, this is not some protest or petition against the morale stats. As far as I am concerned, the morale stat being removed is a good thing and I say that with a full i100 set.
What my problem is, the PvP quite clearly states:
"Materia effects active during PvP only."

So, with that said, I am sure you can only take a guess with where I am going with this. The materia does not work in Frontlines.
You might think to yourself why I might use it though, well I made quite some good melds on this gear and was expecting to use it based on that for Frontlines as it would still be quite a bit better than any other gear I would find available.
I am really hoping that this was not meant to be the case and that materia effects should be active in Frontlines. Especially considering Frontlines is listed under the PvP profile.
I would really appreciate if a member of the dev. team could get back to me on what the decision is here with materia in PvP.

I wouldn't mind if they let materia into FL. Honestly though, I don't even notice gear or anything. Map movements and coordination are what win you FL matches. You'll feel good in your heart that your efforts aren't wasted, but the material would really bring a trivial difference. As for morale, glad it's gone. You don't have to give an arm and a leg to kill someone. if they had let morale into this game mode.....omfg I'd still be playing my first match. Morale did a LITTLE bit for damage but mainly it was for defense. This would allow people to live for too long...and allow for reinforcements to arrive. The FL is about skirmishes.

Even more so, the materia made for PvP such as stun and sleep resistance would be extremely useful considering PLDs tend to come in and stun spam.Quote:

Mainly because unlike the PvP gear itself, materia isn't as near as difficult to get. Sure it's costly but you can spiritbond up to 12 pieces of gear at the same time (13 if you do a shield). Sure it completely evens the playing ground and stops the rich from over powering those who don't have it. But gil isn't hard to come by in this game and spiritbinding has only gotten easier if getting gil is an issue so any sort of customisation is being taken out. Again, I can understand why as SE already screwed up PvP once, so all these restrictions should stop most of the bitching which came with the morale stat.Quote:

Lots and lots of usless PvP gear now that you shouldn't even wear it in PvP and can't even glamor cause it won't show up. =/
