So is there any Info for the London event at all? Can only find info about the American one.
Damn. Hopefully soon then ^_^
Hope they will announce it as soon as possible.
I've had no email from the 9th...
Anyone EU person got thier email yet?
no :( still waiting
I'm glad i'm not the only one that thinks £65 is a joke!
I really want to go to this but there are no specific details as to what exactly i'm paying for if I do. I don't doubt it will be fun, but all they have done is give us vague information about the event and then say you can buy tickets on the 17th July ... so what would I be getting for my £65? I guess i'd have to pay up and find out later? its like paying for a really expensive Kinder suprise! Either way for everyone that does pay for it I really hope the event is freaking epic for that price!
I am kinda annoyed it all takes this long.
There is absolutely NO INFORMATION about:
1) The time of the event (how early does it start, how late is it done, can we arrive in the morning and leave in the evening?)
2) What are we going to get for the crazy price of 80 euros? What to expect?
I mean come on ... those are basic things I am sure they already set in stone since they booked the location already. How hard is it to make one post about it.
It's sort of silly how they're giving 2 day warning for the code that's been distributed a day before the ticket sales are going up for an event with a website of "full site coming soon"...
Anyone got Mail now? I am still waiting :/
Nothing here
Still waiting on that email though...
You're right. Wtf is this? For the difference of £5-£10 they get 2 extra day?
I expect a real chocobo to take home as apart of the goodies and to have my shoes kissed by the dev team for £65 for 1 day.
Can you tag a dev team member in this thread to get more info on why we are paying such a high price for less?
Because of all the fees they have to Pay in the UK, the pound is worth more outside of the country than within.
Even removing the VAT (Value Added Tax) you're looking at £54.17/£70.83 for one day. There are no other fees I'm aware of we incur over here although I'm guessing when you place your order you'll be hit with an additional booking fee of around £10-15 ($17-26) over and above the face value of the ticket.
People living in Europe (and Britain in particularly) are used to getting screwed like that...
It will be interesting to see if the ticket sale for the London event has the same problems as the Las Vegas fiasco...
I'm in this boat ^
Too short notice to cough up that amount of money without knowing what on earth for. I'm sure I'm not the only player who often works Saturdays and would need to book time off BEFORE buying the ticket? -.-
Aslo: many fan-fest events in London are FREE to go to (Sonic, Red Dwarf etc) so £65 is completely unjust.
Edit: got my code thru about an hour ago. Looked similar to a spam email tho!
Hmmm, why are we already able to insert our promotional code on the website? And on top of that, what happens when you enter it? Is the code one-use only?
Because if it's one-use only, you pretty much have to guess tomorrow when to enter it exactly :s
I think the price is very fair. The cost to transport and fly their employees, plus the cost to have a venue set up and hotel costs add up very quickly. There is limited space for people to attend so the ticket price is also reflected in the total price.
I’m sure a lot of other Fests get their money from vendors setting up shops in the event, and so the costs aren’t passed down to the attendees. This is just a FFXIV Square Event, they won’t have tons of venders helping offset the costs.
BlizzCon is about $200 a ticket (about £116). US Fan Fest tickets are $120 for us (about £70).
The fans that really want to go will pony up the money.
I bought advance tickets in the USA sale, I entered the promo code the first time and had the page time-out on me. I was able to re-enter the same code and it gave me the buy page. Hopefully you guys wont run into the same problems that the USA tickets had.
I entered it before the start of the sale and after. The ticket page was up and I tried entering it before the release time At 10:25am and got the error ‘invalid code’, did this a few times before the 10:30am ticket start. I tried again at 10:31 and the page timed out, tried again at 10:32 (page took 3 minutes to load) and got the buy page (where you select how many tickets). Then from there it takes you to the purchase page where you fill out the form(s) and have 15min to finish your purchase.
The loading time was so slow that it took my overall time out of the purchase timer, so I only had 11 minutes to fill out three tickets.
The second time around in the general ticket sale, everything loaded much faster and smoother.
I would highly recommend rebooting the computer and have it nice and clean with no extra programs slowing you down while you load the ticket page.
Is anyone else still without their promo code? I checked me email was right. added the domains to safe senders. checked quarantine and junk folders and I have nothing ; ;
I got my e-mail today so if anyone is worrying about not getting their promo code, you can have mine since I can't get time off work to attend :)
Anyone that does not need their code can they give it to me please? I live in London but got a code for the Las Vegas event... Many thanks :-)
Right, got a code. But where do you buy the tickets from starting tomorrow???
Are codes not linked to the Square Enix account?
Got my email while at work.
Still no email with code here. I'm sure there's plenty to send out and the process will take a while to get everyone covered, but all my Free Company now have theirs, I'm the only one! There's 10 from my Free Company going so fingers crossed... *bites nails*
edit/ so just checked gmail again and the email was under the 'promotions' tab. didn't even know that was a thing. xD
I don't have my code either. kinda worried.
I'd like to go, but no way i'm paying 80€ + plane + hotel for an event we know absolutely nothing about.
Maybe next year, if they make another one, adter seeing what they bring to this one.
Try my luck - Australia here...the cost for me and my hubby round-trip with hotels and airfare comes out to $5k :P
We'll have to miss out for this year :(
Still no Mail :/
Here is the website where you can enter the promo code and purchase your tickets:
