UAT in Syrcus Tower

Does anyone know if the Unidentified Allagan Tomestone will be available in Syrcus Tower from the very first week this raid is available? I am not clear on the timing.

If so I might pass on other loot until I get one. Although the odds sound quite bad at 30% chance of it appearing and then a roll between 8 players.

30% is 30 times better than a miniscule 1% chance of Levi dropping a mirror.

Soldiery weapons are for a lot bad strategic choices until you can get the sand of time. Better get some loot first and worry about that once you got sand.

False. Completely false. They're i100 weapons. Any i100 weapon is better than any weapon of a lower iLvl, period. The only reason one shouldn't try to get this weapon is if they already have an i100 that has better secondaries.

Wondering with the UAT and later sands/oils. If they will drop like the furniture item thingy in CT1. Chance of an extra chest that every one in the alliance rolls on. Or as a potential extra item in, I guess would be, the last chest.

Guess we will find out soon.

In the french patch note, they say that "enhancement items" are bound yo the same restrictions than gear. So oil, sands and UAT will be restricted at the rate of 1 per week.

that's only true if you are raiding. If you're not, you most probably have an animus or atma close to animus for your main

Unless you're a new player. But really, there is no use of these i100 weapons if you're not raiding and obtaining i110 gear which allows you to skip gearing weeks with soldiery. Heck, you don't even need the extra damage.... You may want it though, but you'll be better getting novus than the UAT weapon.

Still false. A better weapon is a better weapon no matter what you're using it for. Being stronger makes raids more possible but otherwise makes everything else easier, and that's usually not a bad thing.

hmmm there isn't mention of any enchantment items in the english patch notes.

I'm fairly sure it's mentioned in all the other patch notes. It's kind of like the Ramuh prerequisites in the Ramuh preview. The English preview had ???s whereas the other versions of the preview actually stated that you needed Levi and Moggle EX clears. Made for some arguments on the English forums here. In this case there's a precedent set by Labyrinth of the Ancients where the bonus 4th chest is the crafting material needed for the housing item. It's reasonable to assume that the patch notes released in languages other than English are correct and the Syrcus Tower 4th chest is the item needed to make Xande's Throne and the UAT will likely drop from each Alliance's final boss chest at whatever drop rate they've decided on and it will eat your weekly item allotment.

Also I do have an Animus and am working on the Novus for DRG but one of the first things I want to do is get a Conqueror for WAR because I don't feel like going through the Animus grind again at this moment. I'm actively looking for a Second Coil static and I look more attractive if I'm potentially viable as a DPS OR a tank.

The poster did say it was mentioned in the French patch notes. Yoshi-P also said this on the live letter. Sands will drop from Syrcus tower at a rate of 30%. The notes did mention a 4th chest shared across all alliances so I'm thinking that one will hold sands. If true only one of the 24 members can obtain sands.

Anyone else notice the patch notes about this duty having 1 tank, 2 heals and 5 dps?

I was gonna assume that the fourth chest at the end of the tower was the crafting needed to make the new furnishing based off ST, like the fragment blade.

You can receive only one reward item per week for completing duties in Syrcus Tower. In the event you are awarded an item from the loot list, you relinquish your right to vie for all remaining items regardless of whether you selected Need or Greed. If time expires and a reward item is obtained automatically, this will also count toward the weekly limit.
* Reward eligibility is reset every Tuesday at 1:00 a.m. (PDT).

Each party in the alliance will receive its own treasure chest, the contents of which will be identical regardless of the route taken.
* Players cannot open a treasure chest belonging to another party.

A fourth treasure chest may occasionally appear upon defeating the last boss of Syrcus Tower. The above restrictions do not apply to this treasure chest.

That is from the english patch notes, meaning the 4th chest does not follow the weekly lockout. It is also not stated what exactly is in the 4th chest, so that will remain a mystery until a later time. Hope this clears it up.

but seriously i like this. QQ all you want but it means there will be less tanks slacking off like there is in Laby runs nowadays. And the extra dps means less Q time for them which is not a bad thing. Loot really doesnt matter when it comes down to it. Its better overall for everyone imo.

French patch notes.

The bolded part means "Gear and enhancement items (i.e : sand/oil/UAT) can only be obtained once a week, regardless of the need/greed rolls"

With that in mind, the sentence for the 4th chest means that it won't contain sands/oil/UAT, but an other item with absolutely no lockout. Probably crafting material for the vanity furnishing.

The CT crafting item was restricted by the weekly lockout. The reference to the 4th coffer not being subject to the "previous restrictions" appears to be referencing the part that says alliance specific coffers can only be opened by their own alliance members.

The post is very unclear though. It really could be referring to either the weekly lockout or the restriction on opening coffers belonging to another alliance or both.

The bonus 4th chest is probably just like the Dimensional Fragment in CT1

Uats can drop from the tower, as can oil of times, as I had both drop in my first (only) run through... Both at the end (though I don't know if a fourth chest spawned)... They lock you out of loot like any other item

There is a post in general discussion where someone had picture of minion drop in chest at last boss together with gear piece and UAT. Not sure 100% but I think that minion actually was the 4th chest, not UAT.

no you didn't. It was normal chest.

K let's see if we can get this straight. Last chest, will have gear, as the previous 3. If you win from any of those you are done for the week on lotting from those chests. The extra chest that has the 30% spawn rate has a different lock out? Or is it like CT where if you lotted on that "extra" chest and won you were locked out of all the chests for the week?

I almost won a minion last night but didn't. If the above is true about extra chest win ='s a week lock on other chests I would have kicked my lip off if I had won.

I saw a pet, 24 players roll.

Oil and UAT are drops from the normal chest (8 ppl roll on it + Lockout)

The Minion ist the 24 roll one and doesn't have the weekly lockout.

Ok so the last chest contains the Oil, UAT and an armor piece that if won will place a lockout and the extra chest contains, minion / housing item that all can roll on with no lockout.

All is clear now.
