Ressurect, Raise, Raise II, and Rebirth animations

I know that animations will be touched up in the near future, but I was wondering if adding some kind of animation to the Resurrect, Raise, Raise II, and Rebirth spells is somewhere on the to do list.

Maybe a pillar of light (or something like that) could come up from the dead body right after the spell was cast? Maybe for Rebirth it could be extra bright, or something? :)

It's just kind of lame that there's currently no animation, in my opinion.

A little more variety in those spells would be great to see =) Haha, I kinda miss the tiny cherub that would appear in classic FF games when you use Life on someone.

Maybe some downy feathers in the pillar of light.

Agree with different animations for these.. Resurrect especially should have some epic triumphal column of light with tiny cherubs and stuff :D

Animations for these spells are definitely needed, especially for the players who are being raised. Whenever I die I really have to focus and look out for other players raising me or I will miss it. Distinct animations for the different spells should also be implemented at some point but I would not mind the same animation for all of them until the developers found the time to do different ones. Just having them is a real necessity at the moment in my opinion.

An animation for the raise spells would definitely help since many people miss it or don't know that they've gotten a raise. Pillar of light/angel feathers/cherubs would be cool to see.

An additional issue I would like to bring up is the following:

Currently there appears to be a one minute time limit in which the person Raised needs to accept. With no animation, and no feedback as to when the timer expires, tactical decisions are made much more difficult.

It would be hard for me to accept a raise animation with feathers since that animation comes out of the fact you are using phoenix downs, which aren't in xiv. A raise animation period would be nice, but not one that doesn't make any sense. The raise animation from XI was fine, they just need actually make raise noticeable and not overly flashy either, c'mon i'm raising you but the battle might still be going on, who needs a flashy ass feather animation in their face while they're trying to fight a mob. Flashes of light is good enough imo, better than looking like you pressed return even though you got raised.

Ya a simple pillar of light even would be great! WAAAAY too many people do NOT pay attention and miss tons of raises... that alone makes this worth it lol (Besides the obvious that all spells should have effects xD )

Off the top of my head, they used white angel feathers for Life and Life 2 (Raise and Arise) in FFVIII and I think in Tactics but it's been awhile since I've played that one.

And they used red phoenix feather as the animation for Phoenix Downs FFVI.

But yeah, any animation for the Raise spells would be helpful(and nice to see too).

Ontop of more distinguishing animations, I'd like to see a little more than a yellow dot in the corner to tell me what version of raise I'm using, particularly as even with the new icons, my eye sight isn't perfect and occasionally I will have to stare at it a while to realize which one I have set.

Like for rebirth make it red, with a full frontal shot of a person being raised with their arms extended at their sides.
A giant roman numeral 2 plastered on the II versions would be great as well.

I'd rather have them remove the interaction section from the menu and just use a pop up asking if you want to be revived or not.

Thiiiiis. Please for the love of God. It's so easy to miss, especially as there's a time limit on it now.

How is this still not in the game..

how many raise spells are remaining in 1.20, i thought just 1.(i cant remember though)

Yeah, there is only one raise spell now; available on CNJ level 18.

EDIT: And at CNJ level 48 you get the "Enhanced Raise," which causes all your raises to no longer inflict enfeebling effects (as CNJ, of course, since traits are class-specific).

The raise animation looks the same as the cure animation to me.... could be just me though.

Maybe not. I know Raise does the swirly vortex of life and cure... I don't really pay attention to.

You do get a massive pop-up on screen telling you that you have a raise to accept now.

also i like that they added in the light/bubbles when casting Con spells....but did they really need to just color it red and call it a day for the THM ones? Come one SE....you made it different in FFXI a decade ago...is it really that hard?

The color bubbles seem to be related to the elemental base of the spell.
