I've just spoken with my LS leader. I'm not leaving the LS, and I'm "likely" not quitting FFXIV. But I won't be playing anymore until I can actually level my DOM or DOW jobs. I guess I'll keep an eye on the updates.
I've made this thread not to start drama, but in hope that maybe if SE sees enough of these, they will get an idea of what's important. You can add all the instances you want, but if there is no way to progress in this game effectively, you have basicly killed your game.
I did consider grinding DOH and DOL while waiting for a update to fix this, but there are LOTS of other mmorpgs out there that I can play. I'm not going to suffer here waiting for you guys to let me have fun. I haven't had fun in this game yet, and grinding behest was really all I had in terms of progression. I've had enough. Sorry.

I think the dev have a pretty good idea why people are quiting but maybe you should have read that 1.18 is only the first step of the fix and it would take about 2-3 more patch to fix then other few patch to release the new maps and core fix and they even said they going to fix the issue with mobs to allow us to do camps like ffxi for exp outside areas.
i think people wish for so much in 1.18 when it not even a big patch 500mb i think waiting for the core fix and map update which wont to they fix all the issue now so maybe patch 23.0+

Your whole post sounds a lot like ragequitting to me.
It sounds like you don't like the new patch (which is totally okay, everyone has an opinion and it's normal opinions differ) but are too lazy to formulate what you don't like so it could actually HELP the devs to understand what's wrong with their patch.
And btw: I still think my idea of one huge quit-thread is better.
Because everyone can just like the first post who agrees, so the devs can see in numbers how many people want to quit and after liking the first post, players can also add the reasons WHY in their own post.
Your idea is bad, because it's basically spamming the forums with new threads no one but the devs want to read, keeping players who want to have a nice discussion on other topics from talking because they can't even find their threads anymore with all the quitting threads.

Even going to add more quest per patch so we could use them to level up. So yes right now the game is dead when it come to level does not mean later it wont be it just going to take time. i can't wait for core fix and remake of the areas i think people should just play the game or quit and come back 1month before it goes p2p.Quote:

I think, correct me if I'm wrong, Alex's beef is she wants to know how much longer she has to wait for the lvl cap to increase (If I'm right, I'm not sure why this wasn't stated in the first place). That aside I can certainly understand the frustration. Hate to keep comparing this to XI cause it's really not fair given the amount of time it's been out, but once you've ranked to 50 I would imagine there just isn't much to do. XIV doesn't have have a dozen DLC's of new missions to do under its belt yet like XI. So yeah I'd be sitting around twittling my thumbs for a cap increase and new content too.

Naoki said in the last letter that they welcome both good feedback AND negative criticism 'cause thats the only way they'll move forward and that is how they got to 1.18 (as uncomplete as it is).
So a friendly suggestion, to just elaborate more on what it is really that annoys you about the game and what you'd like to see. (i'll be taking my own advice too). Hopefully that'll help keep steering the devs in the right direction. -

It is almost as if they're trying to encourage everyone to pick a melee job instead! Well, with the way things are going, they may well get their wish!
I want to love this game, not use it as a passing diversion when im bored. I just haven't been able to relight that spark of enthusiasm for a while. -

You can solo leves, with 4-5 star rating, in a short amount of time for fairly good sp. Supplement that with Behest when they are up and you can get in them at the camps.
Next i would do quests and grind mobs, and/or even find SP groups. (Ask around in the LS im sure you are not the only person who wants SP.)
You might be about the right rank to do Toto for decent sp and some rewards.
The options are on the table. And NO sp was not nerfed it was adjusted to be recieved in different ways. And there will be more adjustments made to the leves, with the addition of hamlets, and beastmen strongholds there should always be plenty of options for you to gain SP. -

It's just more balance and while I guess they made some mistake with 20-30 the last 2 leves to 30 didn't feel bad to me.You said you explained your logic in the first post but all you said was I"m quittin cause I can't level DoM/DoW, though last I checked I got 3 levels on my DoM so maybe your game is just bugged. You should explain in better detail in your first post as to what the exact issue is. If your issue is that before I was getting 5k a leve and now all I"m getting is 1-3k a leve then you aren't aware of what balance is. In order to remove fatigue from the game they need to balance it so that people aren't 50 in a week. So while you are no longer effected by fatigue you are now truly free to get to rank 50 at your own pace without being pigeon-held by fatigue kicking in. So if one week you have more time to spare you can get a few more xp in rather then hitting fatigue and having nothing else to do in game with your spare time.Quote:
