Proof of who was first to beat anything

Is there a page in the loadstone, or a website somewhere that displays proof, with no error, 100% truth, on who is the first to beat anything in this game? I notice lots of FCs like to use the "we were first in the world to beat this" line. However, those that are most vocal, tend to be the biggest liars. I'm not stating that anyone is an actual liar, but keep in mind, not everyone is boastful, and there very well could have been people beating it BEFORE anyone that claims to have beat it first, but because they choose to not brag, no one hears about it.

To my knowledge, there is not. There is a thread under the Dungeons section that unofficially tracks it, but it is strictly voluntary. If someone has a screenshot up, and someone else comes along and says they did it first, then I guess the only suggestion I have to prove it would be to compare achievements, which in and of itself isn't very reliable.

Which "world first" would you be keen to know? Most people wouldn't be keen about anything "world first" other than the binding coil (not even primal EX, they are usually down within 1hr of release by many groups).

If you are talking about "world first" for binding coil individual turns you can look at the world progression thread. Specifically for Turn 5 and Turn 9, they are claimed by Order of the Blue Garter which Yoshida personally announce and confirms himself.

As Ooshima wrote above, Yoshi has confirmed BG world first wins for T5 and T9, I don't remember him announcing anything else. There is no site showing world firsts in different fights.

I world firsted in walking into housing area..... being the First anything is a total joke i just laugh when i see those First time titan. ect

IIRC, WoW sends out serverwide messages when a World First kill happens. Yoshi and co. should probably look into that for FFXIV.

"xxx first" is actually a measure of no-lifing rather than skill, since the only thing u need for raid content is basic job comprehension and a lot of time as the static group.

They already have a big enough e-penis for no-lifing to clear the content first, no need to have it plastered on the official FFXIV sites.

Unfortunately, achievement data is private by default, so unless people make it public on their lodestones we won't know anything past the first few (BG has been first on coil thus far). It would be nice if this wasn't the case, but so it goes. SE is very protective.

As for the "no-lifing" comments... sometimes world first guilds simply have people take a week or so off work to clear content. I wouldn't just assume everyone there is a "no-lifer."

Hard Core Progression Raiders treat MMO's like a Second Job. They just put more dedication into what they do. Calling them "no-lifers" is childish and uncalled for. Maybe they work 3 days a week, 12 hour shifts, and sneak in a 4 hour one, then spend the other evenings playing the game they enjoy. You dont know, so dont be so quick to judge.

The Mentality that playing a game for more than 7 hours a day translates into one having no life is, as I have stated, childish, so grow up.

did you try doing T6-9 group, without using any guide, and trying to figure out all the mechanics, by yourself?
they are world first, cause they are very skilled players.
there's been ppl bashing their heads at 2nd coil, for months, without succeeding, even with guides. So *basic job comprehension* doesn't get you that far.
Some ppl take 10 tries to learn a fight, some take 10hrs, or even 100+. you dont get world first, if you take 100hrs to master a fight.

Take time off work... to just play a game? That's kind of no-lifing in my books, normal people would take time off work to go on Holiday or something... not playing a game to claim the fastest kill.

It's a hobby. If I told you I took off work to go golfing, would you consider that any different? Just curious, since in the end, the person taking time is doing it for THEIR enjoyment. Who am I to judge?

I used to work 10 hours a day, 4 days a week. We had people work 12 hour days 3 days a week, and half day during the week. As long as the work got done, it didn't matter when you worked.

I tend to think that pretty much anyone who feels the need to brag about something as truly meaningless as world firsts in a freaking video game is full of it on general principle. There is no way to prove it unless they documented it well enough to show dates and times with video/pictures/whatever, and no one else happens to come forward to say they beat it first. But yeah, I've found that most people THINK they were the first, when they actually weren't. Not everyone brags about their victories, or documents them, so really, how would anyone know if they were first? And really, not to sound like a dick or anything, but does anyone really care? I know I don't.

I got world first for explaining all the mechanics in Tam-Tara to a tank who was new to MMOs instead of ragequitting the first wipe. Where's my trophy?

there is proof its called legacy icon, unless you are wanting some sort of new thing, though that would mean beating full story first till expansion or something along those lines.

But it is in fact the point. Besides can you name anyone else WHO YOU ARE NOT AFFILIATED WITH that has done anything significant in the game (specifically in regards to kills or completes)? Can anyone? I played on Siren for a while, and the only significant thing I can remember is who was the first to buy a large house.

BG is renowned for being the best at their jobs, and nobody is going to remember OR care who came in second place. In my opinion, at least.

My attempts usually go like this:

1) Person makes claim to have been first.
2) I see that their server is not Excalibur.
3) I check their achievement dates, if possible.
4) I check against a BG member.
5) I laugh.

Xivpad had a page for it. it was syncing with lodestone, so it would see who got achievement for something, first.
Although achievements aren't public by default, i'm sure that those that care about world-first, would have it public, so that they show up on such pages that sync with lodestone.

If someone takes way too long to learn a fight, it means they are either missing some basic skills, or dont put enough effort. Most groups that are stuck on early turns are so because they are badly organized and cant spend enought "time" together. Also figuring the mechanics is also everything about TIME and effort. If my group was able to spend whole days on raiding, it wouldnt be a problem to clear t6 and maybe even t7 on first week of 2.2. But because we can barely raid 3 times per week (we value rl more than the game), and for like 4-5 weeks we had to take a sub for one raid day per week, we are only on t9 p3.

FWIW, BG Didnt get world first on any Exreme Primals (inc leviathan) or Turn 6 or Turn 7. They scraped it back with the kills on Turn 8 and Turn 9 but they are not infallible!

personally I would rather see them work on content than some feature people use to inflate their e-peen. despite your intentions that is what it would turn into. I think we have enough of that thanks.

This.
People seem to think the one's that do world first have some guide sent to them from the heavens, or that figuring out stuff = spending time dying on them(that's like saying you solve a crime just by staring at a corpse for example).
Funny how it's always the people that don't clear the content the fastest that say this kind of stuff(that it's easy etc).
