Regarding Personal Free Company Rooms

So by this you cannot leave the FC unless you do not have a room. So here is the question what if the member has a room but they are doing things to where they are needing to be removed from the Free Company? Can they not be kicked since they have a room?

that's a very good question... and I would hope the answer is you can still boot them out with part the punishment being they lose everything in there room, which can be either deleted or absorbed into fc assets.

And what happens to the 300k you spent on the room? ):

I would assume they can still be kicked if necessary as I imagine the FC Leader will have control over who can have rooms and if they so choose, remove rooms as well whenever needed. This is going to make people nervous obviously and you better hope you trust your FC Leader.

Thanks for the feedback on your thoughts. A lot can still be touched on this imo. Like is it 300k to add the feature to the housing where 300k = all members have personal room option. Or is it 300k per person? Or is the FC master going to have some feature like in ranks on what ranks get personal rooms (like feature with who can do garden plating/removing/furniture). Another things is decorating personal rooms. Hope it's another feature just for room only cuz would suck to have someone take all the FC housing furniture and put it in their room when they were not assigned before to move/place furniture. Like there goes your carby chair/table/etc. Guess we will find out! :3 Hopefully nobody has any drama problems overall tho. My biggest concern was being unable to boot a member who is causing problems in the FC or quit the game but has a room so they are unable to be removed from the FC due to that room being there.

May just have to wait for 2.3 patch notes before the update hits in July :3

I think it's safe to say that not all FC owners can be trustworthy or fair. Since this is the case, if a member should purchase their own room and happen to get kicked out, then I think there should be an option to preserve that room. Whether its transferring the room, in tact, to another FC or dismantling the room to retrieve salvageable contents, the member shouldn't have to forfeit everything just for either screwing up or being misunderstood.

Well with what's been stated about free company rooms. You have to buy them yourself and be highest current rank GC's have to offer at the moment. So I don't think the FC master has control over who gets access to rooms or not. So most definitely FC leaders/masters won't have options at all to interfere with a personal bedchamber. Pretty sure as well the personal room is the only thing the people have access to decorate if they do not have the privilege to decorate the FC house. So no missing carby chairs/desks/etc thank goodness. The big quest still remains about "Can a FC master/leader kick a member if they have a personal room." or are they bound to that FC for life until the person gets rid of their room.

A couple instances come to mind, like i previously stated about a rowdy FC member causing problems in the FC. But also what if 2 smaller FC's wanted to merge later on and get an upgraded Medium/Large house together? But in order to do so they would need to tear down their house and open that plot back up. But what if a member has a personal room and no longer play? If they cannot be booted the house cannot be torn down if that member has a room in the house right? And I'm pretty sure the FC would want to open the plot back up for someone else to use not just give a house to a member that is gone and wait 30+ days for it to retire on it's own for 'inactivity'.

Ideally, SE should just make the price tag for a "Personal Room Unlock" and when/if a player leaves the FC it goes into "Escrow". Upon joining a new FC (and have whatever permissions given) your same room is now accessible in the new house.
(in game, packed up and stored somewhere, metagame- personal room is instanced anyway so you just don't have access to it).

My problem with the current system is that I really want a personal room, but I might have to leave my FC to join a new coil static (the need for which is a separate but huge problem) since my new real life job conflicts with my current static's schedule. I already hate that I have to go hopping around from FC to FC, but now I have to choose between a personal room and progression? They're both important to me!

There is another problem. What if, upon kicking a player, their entire room gets obliterated? The other day our FC leader was trying to kick someone from the party (he went afk and we were replacing him) but accidentally kicked him from the FC because he was in the FC UI. It was a mistake, and the person was promptly reinvited, but when you're talking about hundreds of thousands of gil in 3-star furnishings, this kind of thing could cause a lot of problems in an FC.

Furthermore, if an FC is trying to save up for an upgrade (as mine is trying to save for a mansion) will all of the personal rooms be lost along with the old house? What if someone has a lot of expensive furnishings, like the Manor instruments or Carbuncle set, but they aren't online to claim their belongings before the move?

Square-Enix, I beg you to reconsider locking private rooms to FC houses. There are so many reasons why this is bad.
