Oh, who are you kidding. WE WONT GET ANY INFORMATION. EVER AGAIN!
/butthurt about Musketeer
Was Rogue/Ninja confirmed for 2.3? If not disappointed since no musketeer.
Rogue/Ninja is confirmed for patch 2.4
Frontline pvp sounds like a lot of fun if done right. Let's see how it turns out.
this patch delays are getting out of hand
My expectations: halfway through this month.
We are told we'll think : Oh, that was sooner than expected.
Actual announced: week into next month.
Result: Later than expected
xD shrug, i'm just cranky today lmao.
Eh. The patch delay will allow them to take care of the finer details I assume. The new CT looks really nice though!
I have noticed that they love to dance around the patch release date. They even said that because 2.2 was delayed they would release 2.3 sooner than everyone's expectations. Then we find out the truth. lol
maybe instead of flying around and prancing around the world he should do some actual work on the patches?
this is doubly dissapointing since of course the patch will not only be delayed, it will take em a whole day to patch as well, they will break a bunch of stuff again as awlays, well have a bunch of prolonged emergency maintenances etc etc etc.
all for a backwards patch and i100 vanity loots. everybody already has their full soldiery!
Well, not everyone. I prefer CT gear over most of the tome gear.
Everytime they delay a patch, I take a deep breath and think to myself "well, it could be worse.....at least GRRM is not running that joint"
Did they say anything about Golden Saucer? At work and can't watch these streams...
I started my soldiery gear right away when it went live, never missed any (except maybe 50 one week) and just finished the full healer set this week. I also have a bard, black mage and summoner. Sorry, but the i100 gear from CT will be awesome for helping to gear my alt jobs.
Ya that what I'm currently assuming since Yoshi-P mentioned Musketeer will not be what people expect which hints in a unique gameplay style similar to how Rogue/Ninja with the Ninjutsu symbol system to perform Ninja Skills which requires the Ninja Job to perform the right order of symbols to perform the Ninja Job skills and if you do not perform the right order the player will fail the skill use attempt.
So far only thing I can think of for making Musketeer unique from the standard range DPS style are Some kind of Gun loading system (specific rounds have different effects and benefits) and having the Job taking advantage of those unique gun rounds such as if
Musketeer is given Chemist Job for Healer Job role Musketeer has a speical Healing Chemical Round designed to boost up or turn their skills into healing skills and/improve their healing Skills effects
and
Given the Gunner Job for their DPS role Job being that Gunner has access to different types of damage rounds such as Armor piercing rounds for Ignore small % armor of target and Incendiary rounds to apply DoT effects and which round you are using will provide different effects for the Gunner Job skills. Players will have to mix between these unique damage rounds to maximize the Gunner Damage output.
(but this is only how I imaging why Musketeer will be unique in design so Yoshi-P may have something completely different in mind)
Yoshi doesn't make the patches by himself...while he's on the road doing PR the rest of the team is building the patch. How much grunt work does your manager do at work if you have one? All he has to do most likely is go back and put his stamp on everything as it's finished. It sounds like Frontlines is proving a difficult animal to tame considering they had to renege on a previous statement and delay queueing full premade into CT to 2.35 just to deal with the DF side of it.
Oh yeah, that's a very good point as well. I play both white mage and scholar, and the Daystar pieces are definitely more suited for scholar, while the High Allagan more suited for white mage. Hopefully, the CT2 gear is well thought out to accomodate both.
I haven't started any Evenstar yet (will be this week), but I'm guessing it's like Daystar where it may be better for a black mage or summoner, but not as good for the other?
