mor dona additions

List stuff you'd like to see added to the Toll in the future updates. Here's my list:


Clock tower with observation decks for Crystal tower, the big airship crash site in Silver Tear, and one pointed at Imperial base
Market boards
Airship dock
Inn
More random shops
Library filled with game lore
Trophy room
Cid's workshop
Training dummies

Definitely market boards. All players who are 50+ pretty much just hang out in mor dhona all day anyways. Don't see a point in having to port to a major city just to use the MB. :( Waste of gil.

A mansion for G'jusana just to forever remind us of how much extortion she has committed to us...

Rowena might as well get one as well.

Uh... nah. Mor Dhona isn't a city state. They aren't going to put all those things there just cause that's where you like to hang out. It's died down quite a bit anyways since they introduced the Party Finder anyways. People hung out there cause they shouted to form parties.

A virtual reality suite that our characters can sit in and play a game that requires us to actually move around the world, rather than sitting in one zone queuing on the Derpy Finder.

If you look at the nature of the construction + the story-driven increase in population, formal self-governing will be needed at some point in the near future. I foresee Revenant's Toll becoming an independent city-state at some point in the story (possibly with the first expansion).

If they added a market board, Mor Dhona would easily get locked all the time for exceeding player limit.

More and more, it is becoming clear that the intention of the development team is to allow us to watch Mor Dhona transform from a Podunk outpost to a thriving city-state,

possibly under the rule of the Scions.

The latest additions have made their intent fairly clear, now that the collection of merchants in the square have now transformed into a proper marketplace, and the construction on the north-facing portcullis is complete. While I don't necessarily think a thread like this is necessary, it is fare from misguided.

Not sure what things are like on your server, but More Donuts is still very busy on mine.

I've said this before and I'll say it again: I think it'd be cool if MD expanded up instead of out, and became a sort of city within a tower.

Not if they let Rowena send some slaves over to the three city-states. Then Mor Dhona and the three are pretty much the same.

I see an equal amount of people in cities, with Mor Dhona having a slightly higher population at any given time. It's pretty crazy during my server's prime hours though. I like your idea, by the way. The whole city-tower thing would be pretty awesome.

I play on a small server so we wouldn't really have that problem. But I can see how for bigger servers it would. In that case they should have probably just made mor dhona less useful. I literally don't go to the major cities for anything besides MB unless there is a new quest out of something. And it's expensive porting to major cities from mor dhona. Just feels like a giant gil suck most of the time.

It is but think of it this way. We are like the peacekeepers of Erozea. Or police comparable. So by comparison, Mor Dhona is like our Dunkin' Donuts :D It is where we go until something else pops up that requires us to go back into the field, DF/PF.

Still waiting for Ishgard to be the 4th city state ;_;
