Leviathan Ex problem, patch 2.28

Since 2.28 the timing for activating the Elemental Converter has changed. Now you must press the button as soon as he dives, rather than during the dash across the boat. Otherwise you will wipe.

Not sure why SE changed this, or if it was intentional. It certainly wasn't in the patch notes and the change led to a lot of unnecessary wipes :-/

Well that's nice to know. Glad I read this before attempting levi EX...

Well I'm glad there's a workaround. I had thought it was just bugged where it didn't work at all. Will resume my attempts to down Levi Ex.

its the same for hard mode..did a trial and ended up in leviathan, we all thought it was a bug. Thanks for the heads up.

We JUST experienced this. It drove us nuts. We were flying through Levi easy peasy and then that happened and all 8 of us were like "…. WHAAAAAAAAA????!!!!!" It's really obnoxious. Thing is though, it doesn't seem to be consistent. If it happens in the run you are in though, its going to stay like that for your whole duration in the instance. You have to leave and go back in to reset it.

It's possible that it could actually be a bug.

I can confirm this. We kept wiping with the shield up after doing the dash. We're going to try the dive before the dash right now.

I wait for the last second to squeeze out the converter rating and have no problem, not sure what you're talking about, I was just in it before servers were going down.

Maybe it's a Bugs, thats why the have an emergencies maintain. Probably fix other bugs too during this patch.

Yes it was fixed. Actually it wasn't a timing issue at all, the issue was caused by "two or more people pushing the button at the same time". I think we were getting around it because only one person was pushing it early while the rest were 'late', giving the impression of it being a timing problem.
