Sightseeing Log [Spoiler]

Disclaimer, if you do not want to be spoiled and want to find all (80?) without any hints, guides, or help; please leave.

So anyone got any Sightseeing done? Trying to find Limas's one (001)
I'll be attempting to update this with all 80; for now I'll leave the first 20.

001: Gamerescape - Vista Location: Limsa Lominsa Upper Decks, Northwest exit out of The Bismarck/Culinarians' Guild at X9 Y7. In the white wall there, there are two sets of bricks. The western set of bricks of the Vista. Guessing weather needed is Windy as it says something about 'billowing sails.' Also needs to be done during Daylight (hence the Azure Skies line). MIGHT also need some emote...

002: Gamerescape - Vista Location: Limsa Lominsa Lower Decks, The Astalicia. Climb to the top of the ship, and go east onto the point extending from the bow of the ship. The very end tip is where the Vista is located. Needs "dead of night" complete nighttime (not sunrise or sunset)

004: Espritduo (Official Forums) -I found the 4th one, but unsure how exactly, lol. It's the one in Middle La Noscea, by the Skylift. I was looking out at the spot where that Roe female is also looking out, and got nothing even though it said I was in the right spot. Then the time changed to 4pm, the weather changed from that blank "clear" to the sunny "clear" and it worked.
And yeah, that first one. @_@; I swear they made it extra tricky just to screw with us, heh. Got the spot, but apparently the skies aren't azure enough or something.

Found 3 places, but 2 of them need the right weather.

Is /lookout the emote to capture ALL of them?

I found number 15 in Ul'dah but I have no idea how to trigger it. /lookout doesn't seem to work.

It's not always going to be /lookout.
The description gives hints to what emote you should use.
One of the East Shroud ones it says that the person would sit and ponder what they would do if they were a Sylph.
So you would use /think in that scenario.
I didn't really get a chance to look at all of them before getting kicked off for the re-maintenance, but I assume they should all have a hint of some sort like that.

So far the two in Limsa Lominsa have us tearing our hair out, even in 'Clear' weather at Mid-Day, we still couldn't get #1.

Assuming 'Azure' does mean clear-day.

I tried n16 in Western Thanalan, but none of the positions would work. It was nightime using /lookout.

One of the logs mentions "casting a fishing line", do I need to fish lol?

Yeah after standing at what I assume is the 001 spot since a message in my chat log appeared, me and 2 other players just spammed emotes at mid-day in clear weather. We thought that maybe the "billowing" part may have something to do with it.

I'm stumped on the very first one to unlock sightseeing XD

I doubt I'm going to fill the log anytime soon.

If you click on the quest it shows an orange circle on the map as a tip.

It depends what the rest of the entry read.
If that's just what the person was doing at the time, it may say what they did afterward?
Wish I got a chance to look at all of them so I could have a better understanding of it >_>;

Got No2 done you have to stand right at front of the Old MRD guilds ship in lower LL (forgot name) at midnight or just after

Found 01 at Limsa upper decks at 10,7. Not sure of conditions.
Point 02 is at Limsa Lower Decks at 7,15 around midnight.

Since Weather seems to be a must have condition, didn't they announce something like an NPC telling you the Weather forecast for the next hours? Is this included in Patch 2.28 or will it be 2.3 or later? Sounds like it would be quite handy to have it now. At least I hate it when I have to catch fish and depend on Weather and have no clue how long I need to wait till it changes to what I need.

#11 (21,21) right by the aetheryte. must /sit on the stump on the far left from Margeria.
I'm guessing /doze on clear weather during the day, but that combination hasn't happened yet.

10 is at the Apkallu fall, needs night and clear sky, be on the lamp and then /lookout.

#5 is at La Thagran Checkpoint 25,27 you have to stand on the southen part of wooden fence that looks down onto the npcs and fires possibly need overcast weather

Weather is probably important for all of them, even if unspecified. 14, 15, AND 19 don't appear to work when overcast.

Probably need dawn AND clear sky. Windy and dawn doesn't seem to work.

I get the feeling that some don't require a weather or time of day. Point in case, number 15 which seems to just be an set of emotes done in the right order. No idea what exact ones they are yet though.

Also I got 09 by doing the expression sad and then lookout during a cloudy day.

Could you post a screenshot of the location? Can't find it.

007 seems to be at 33-19 in Lower La Noscea right on top of the gate that leads into the housing area. Need to be up on that cliff near the red rooster stead to jump from to get to it. Seems to be at dawn to obtain the location.

Just got this location @ 5am Eorzea time by /lookout. Happy Hunting all ^^

005 is located on a top of a fence at 25,27 at Middle La Noscea ... not sure about the time of day, but I think it's supposed to be foggy. Just waiting on it for a bit.
