Please add this feature! I want to paint my character's nails.
I would imagine something like this would be a simple addition and a great add on to the Barber. I would really be happy if I saw this planned for a future update!!

Would be nice I guess. But I haven't even looked at anyone's nails in this game once. Most people wear gloves anyway. Not sure if there is enough interest to make devs feel worth while implementing
How often does anyone zoom into fingers? Let's not waste time with something like this and do things that actually enhance the game.
Ascetically would be nice but Wobble is right ALOT more useful updates could be made. If it did happy i imagine we would see alot of emo goth black mages.
This enhances the game for me. I don't understand the argument that if certain people think something is not as important as other things, then it's a waste of time
I would love something like this and honestly I do wear glamours that show my hands from time to time and I would more if this were a thing.
Just because there are other things they could add doesn't mean this idea should be shot down.
Tell that to the butt ppl xO
yes u do. i have clothes on ad im zoomed quite far. i dont purposly zoom to see someones ass ..
to add. i would like more girlier things in this game in all honesty.
if u guys can request a penis and butt enchancer...why not nails? i would love cuter accesories too
for vanity.
While I'd really like to see this added, they'd need to make it so that we can hide our gloves in order for it to really work.
Cuddling with others in bed, painted nails, whats next? Or** sessions?

Please look forward to it.
I'd be happier with more facial makeup options. I pretty much just use blusher on my lala, since none of the others give me that cute rosy-cheeked look. Since gloves are pretty much standard on all equipment sets, I wouldn't notice nail colour anyway. Besides which it's a tiny detail on a tiny character in my case, so I don't really have much desire for it.
You don't, but I do.
There are plenty of hand slots that show my character's nails
Why are people so against this request damn this community is weird
Sure if its an option for men too. I'd totally love red nails.
ffxiv Barbie dress up reborn expansion pack. look forward to it!
I'd probably use it if it were in the game, but it has to be an option for males too. Not really something I think should have priority, but more vanity options are always welcome.
The issue here is that character models need more polygons - but then it's not the upper body that needs it more...
Is this an mmorpg or hello kiddy island adventures.......
This game is only two things for me, PvE "raid" content and fashion doll simulator. Anything that adds to either of these is a plus in my book.
With the new Ixali gloves for DoH I feel that something like this could be on the horizon, or at least becoming more of a possibility. Let's hope this doesn't get shot down
PS3 limitations.
That joke got stale a year ago. Try harder.
lol, dont we all wear gloves anyway? What is this, Sailor Moon?
You know, part of me thought this was about a "Nael" painting.

But this is... okay too, I guess? Though with how the game works, I'm willing to bet that any kind of nail polish would probably be a hand-slot equip, similar to the South Seas Talisman or Coeurl Talisman items, except probably more dye-friendly.
Because every little things like this that barely affects anyone and anything takes developer time and in the end, it adds up. Time is money therefore their time is better spent on things that might get them more money. Things like this are relevant to an extremely little part of the player base and are barely noticeable unless you come to a complete stop to stare at your hands for a few seconds.
You know what enhances this game for myself and multiple people ? Actual content.
What's "more important" to you may not be "more important" to others. Plenty of people haven't stepped into coil 2 yet for example, so they couldn't care less when coil 3 comes out. And all those "little things" are what keeps plenty of people actually caring about their characters and the game as a whole.
This opens up a pretty bad attitude, though. The "my suggestion is better and more important than yours" sentiment. I don't think the TC feels like it's something every department in the development team needs to halt for and work on. People make suggestions and such to have the idea out there. Some things become more popular and maybe get acknowledged (or even if they do stay obscure), and others just fade away. Regardless, it's there.
For something like this, it's not one which would impede content on raids or other end game things. There are so many people working behind the scenes -- keep in mind that they have been working on all the content in past patches as well as the expansion; this includes glamours, hairstyles, dungeons, raids, quest lines, together in the same patches. A team which works on dungeon assets isn't going to be assigned nail graphics instead. I also think the development team is smart enough that this wouldn't be given huge resources. So when people make suggestions like these, it's silly to go at them with reasons like "it's not important." There are plenty of people working on a Square Enix game. We have seen in the past that we get all sorts of content. We have also known that they are working on much more than we see. Have a little faith in them despite some seemingly silly choices they make! That goes for most development teams in general.

As for the idea itself, I never really notice too much detail like that in particular! But if there's something there, it will show. Like when people use makeup. Could actually be pretty nice :) And the new Ixal gloves.. dem claws!
Wells said, Nepenthe. I've pointed that out before, but people always seem to think it's going to take away from raid content despite there being different teams who work on different things.
I'd also like to add that customization is actual content. The entire game doesn't revolve around end game raiding.
Honestly? I never plan on having a different nail color. But at the same time, I know that there are plenty of people out there who do want it. It wouldn't even really be that radical of a change and could easily be changed via Aesthetician. I only suggested the glamour hands idea because that's one of the ways I thought it would be implemented, and it would be the easiest way to implement so that players could change their nail color without having to go to the Aesthetician every time they change their outfit to a design that has their nails clash with their outfit.
Red nails go great with High Allagan stuff, from what I have seen. But do they go well with Scylla or Swan gear? Not so much. Orchid would be far more appropriate in that case which, again, causes a clash with the High Allagan gear.
As another possible option, turn the "Fake Nails" glamour into a dyable bracelet-slot item? I know that's not ideal either, but it seems to be the best way to implement it without impeding on all of the left-side pieces, especially when left-side pieces usually override right-side pieces all the time anyway.
Not until we get better beard and clothing options for males. We like to feel pretty (manly) as well.
