Siriusly guys, just don't quit. :3
The dungeon's been nerfed to hell and people are still leaving?
Very disappointing...
At this point I really suggest just moving it to expert roulette, then adjusting the tome rewards and loot to match the rest of the expert roulette dungeons.
It's funny because even after the nerf they just keep quitting. I've had several runs where a person just goes 'nope' and then leaves. Really Pharos wasn't hard pre-nerf. It was the first boss that gave everyone a problem. To see people quitting it now is just laughable.
This dungeon isn't that difficult, it wasn't even that hard prior to the nerf, I duno why people quit on this dungeon so much.
Maybe they have problems with highs?
It's way easier now for sure, but I am pretty certain my tank sucked back when I was healing for it 2.1.
"But Karnyboy how dare you make such a claim!!"
It's not proven, I can agree that it may not be accurate, but any one who has healed/tanked it pre-nerf and post-nerf can attest that it is a lot easier now.
Easier for DPS to kill mobs with less health, mobs have been removed, overall mob damage has been decreased and most of all, more people know the mechanics.
The only time I ever have trouble on Boss 1 in PS is when the healer gets separated and the DPS can't kill the dogs fast enough.
The only time I have problems on Zu is when someone goes ape shit on the eggs and enrages Zu or the DPS cannot kill the adds fast enough.
The only time I have trouble on Tyrant, the DPS is too slow.
The only time I have trouble on Siren, the DPS isn't killing Sergeants first and people aren't mindful of Siren's charge direction, I've been in groups where someone kept stunning Siren and she resisted my interrupt and we still made it through.
Pharos Sirius is from my experience now tanking it, a test of how fast your DPS can do their job correctly.
I have had this problem for 2 weeks, save one high level dungeon queue, and I usually queue up at least twice a day for expert or high level categories. Every time I enter any "high level" dungeon the tank and/or the healer leaves. In my experience it isn't just Pharos Sirius, it's every single one. AK, WP, Copperbell HM, Haukke HM and PS. I wish I were exaggerating but it has happened 2-3 times a day, save 1 queue out of 2 full weeks. Probably just have some bad luck but it is quite annoying. Not sure what the problem is, it's not like they are difficult, and some go pretty quickly.
I had run last night, when the tank told us its his first time running the place and he would understand if we decide to leave. We end up doing it, only wiping once at first boss.
People are still quitting PS after the nerfs?
I mean, it was stupid to drop like that pre-nerf, and now post-nerf... seriously what. >_>
I remember being one of those leavers pre-nerf. I don't even remember why I did. And post-nerf, I don't even leave and I still have no idea why I left pre-nerf. Just... something about that dungeon rubs me the wrong way and I genuinely can't put my finger on why.
They want the rewards but for the least effort possible.
Why settle for lost city or hatali when you can get breyflox? Why settle for copperbell mines or pharos serius when you can get HM?
It happens with titan as well in trial roulette. You join roulette and before you can see who is all grouped with you one already left.
ironically they prolly take longer by constantly requeuing then it would take to tackle the "harder" challenges.
wow ppl are still insta quitting PS it was bloody easy pre nerf and i've gone dps tank and healer on that one easy as all hell... and speaking of titan i had one of those today 1 shotted him without breaking a sweat
This dungeon is way too easy IMO, why the hell are they quitting? Is it because...
A. Almost all of the bosses require you to hold back against them until the adds are cleared out before going back to him, else more spawn on top of you?
B. That you actually can't burn the bosses down (with the exception of the 3rd trash boss who might as well be a normal mob) and they take time?
C. The dungeon requires people to actually pay attention and be competent?
D. All of the Above?
um... get you're fc to help and not strangers if it's such a problem /endthread
because everyone totally has an active FC
shows you how much people want things handed to them, PS is the hardest dungeon and has so many quitters thats the proof right there.
i did duty roulette today and spent the whole time teaching people how to run it we ran out of time but theres 3 people more who know what to do now. 1st boss being the worst. rage quitters do nothing more but create this probelm for themselfs. people suck because of them. people cant learn if they cant do it.
people want challenge but when something is a challenge is they quit.
i'd love to see SE bring back 1.0's arum vale & cutters cry, then you can see the warter works flow.
just explained almost every fight in the game.
Got in to Pharos playing my tank on a gimpy alt character with poor gear (still AF in lots of main slots lol). One DPS quit immediately... continued with the remaining DPS (a bard), beat the first boss on first try (few hairy moments but was perfectly manageable), and were just fighting our way up the stairs when another DPS joined.
Honestly I hope the insta-quitters can be dealt with. Forfeiting that days roulette bonus if you leave before vote abandon timer is available would be a start.
I've tanked it, healed it, DPS'd it... I've encountered many a grumpy tank leaving at the first sign of their precious roulette being Pharos Sirius, so now I mostly end up running it AS a tank. Honestly, people are way too picky. Play the game or do everyone a favour and don't bother queuing.
LOL Titan HM...I got that for my first Trial Roulette. Took us two tries and that was only because a couple of DPS derped on the first attempt. Pharos? Yah I don't understand why people are quitting that one now. Reflex maybe? lol It is true that it's literally the devs response to speed runners.
