ps3 to 4. should I switch?

One think l thing I'm a little curious about which hopefully was addressed and I missed it....

When we switch to ps4 we can no longer play on ps3. So if I switch what if ps4 release ends up being really buggy and not playable at times and has issues and needs matience can I just not play then? Or would this be unlikely to happen? Not sure if I should wait to change because of this.

PS4 Beta ran fine..

If you have a PS4, then by all means. Go ahead and upgrade. As a PS3 player who beta tested, the PS4 version is honestly better in every possible way.

I insist. Less lag = better for everyone. I used to think my lag was due to my ISP provider but nope, after plating on ps4 I can vouch that its definitely the old hardware that causes such hideous lag. Titan became suuuuuch a breeze.

You can play on the ps3 if you keep the ps3 license on the account, If switch the ps3 account for free to a ps4 account. Then All you need to do is get a another copy of the ps3 license and be good to go. Or you can just not transfer the ps3 license and just buy a brand new copy of the ffxiv for the ps4. Just you will not be able to log in with both versions of the game at the same time. So need make sure you logged out of the ps4 before you play back on the ps3 or vise versa . When you have both the PS3 and ps4 license on the account.

As for the game it self the PS4 version is so crisp and amazing. You will realize it the ps3 version thats buggy and slow and laggy. You will have a difficult time ever even playing on the ps3 again.

currently there is no way to change the license from ps4 to ps3. its a one way street

I'm switching once I can. When can players who didn't take part in the beta test switch to ps4? Friday or tuesday?

you can't downgrade, yes.
But you can buy a new PS3 box and use the registry key in it to register the PS3 platform to your account again.

Example
Before upgrade:
PC platform
PS3 platform

After upgrade:
PC platform
PS4 platform (the previous registered PS3)

Add PS3 from a new box again:
PC platform
PS4 platform
PS3 platform

If you have a PS4 than upgrade it, its my understanding you don't need PSplus to play FF14:ARR due to FF14 subscription fee. I wish I had the PS4 to make the upgrade :D

I have a playstation 3 and just got a playstation four. If I BUY a copy for PS4 can I still play on my PS3? For example, I work at home and I want to have my PS4 downstairs and my PS3 upstairs so I can craft while I am at work. As long as I am only logged into my account on one of the stations at a time, I could play on either station if I bought a PS4 license? I just wanna be sure before I plunk down another $40.

its cheaper to transfer the license and re-buy the game for ps3. the transfer is free, iv done it, and its cheaper for ps3
