Aw... are they done now?
Huh? No, they arent done yet
Nothing happens when I click the play button.
did you try both links?
Yep, in both Firefox and Explorer.
Ok I got the mediaplayer links to work now, but not the flash ones.
Concert is over now.
Sadly no One Winged Angel at the end :(
Yeah, just a small tease. Was still pretty epic though. Would have loved to have been there.
Does anyone have a link to the recording or anything?
Havent found a full record of it yet, but there are allready some from single songs on youtube. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j7nryAJe9XQ
I enjoyed most of the concert and its nice that someone did saved some of the livestream.
That FFXIV song sounds ace there but it sounds so bland in-game! Should of got live recording.
Omg the ending is insane!! Loved the "beat"
I have to disagree; On Windy Meadows is one of the better tracks to be heard in-game so far. By far, it's on par with Ronfaure from FFXI, which was nothing short of stunning. There's nothing I can fault about the in-game track. It's nostalgic, charming and moving. Sure, it's synth may be sub-par, but the development of the melody, the flute and violin and the heroic chorus make it far from being 'bland'.
But this version is better in it's own way as event music. I definitely won't like this version in-game, but as a stand-alone piece, it is highly emotional and captivating. Though I have to say the percussion interlude at around 3 mins was a bit...o.o making. Still, I love the orchestral arrangment very much as well.
I like most of the ost tracks but the only problem about 'field' tracks is that maybe they are too short (coerthas one especially). Ronfaure was about 6 mins and with 3-4 variations. That was a perfect field track.
Thanks for the links, some great performances there. I think XIV is another Uematsu soundtrack filled with awesome work, I just didn't have the music on since the first few months or so of playing because no matter how good music is you simply cannot listen to the same tracks for as long a period of time as i spend on an MMO - I was the same in XI, i find it hard to believe anyone could spend months upon months in Jeuno without going insane @ that tune lol. Aswell as that, not having the music on allows me to do other things like watch tv shows, listen to audio books, and my own music :)
Every now and then i do turn it on though, perhaps for an hour while i do a mission ( and any time i enter a zone i haven't heard the music for). I find I appreciate it more this way.
I was there :) it was great to see Mr. Uematsu in reality. He changed my life :O
