What ive gathered so far from 2.2

Coming from a server like mine (Malboro) you don't tend to get a chance to run any form of content unless youve got a static group or you want to take the chances of PF/DF.
But all i have gathered is how completely toxic some of the community can be on this game, i remember in BETA the toxicity levels were nowhere near as high and we had D/c's everyday. now if you screw up an attack or dodge you're considered to be blacklisted. some guy right now in the PF is stating mess up once on titan ex and youre getting a kick, people giving abuse due to coil loot and runs. i got a hurl of abuse because i won the healer role in T4.
how can a community grow if it keeps descending. especially with people wanting Levi ex and wanting it first try, or T5 to progress further but get frowned upon because it wasnt done prior 2.2. heck i even just got booted from a pf which we almost got levi ex killed (20% or so) just to replace us with FC members

On topic, make some friends because people have no incentive to change. You're better off sticking with people you're cool with, not randos that flip out over the smallest things.

thats the thing, ive met plenty of people throughout who can run the content, just unfortunate knowing a lot of these people will penalise those of which have one item lower than their predicted ilvl requirement for specific instances. heck i saw someone refuse an i75 into T1 because he thought he'd wipe the raid when he was a BRD.

These people wind up in FCs together which implode and vanish because toxicity erodes them, they then pollute df/pf until they find another "flock together toxic FC" which will also implode.

Took me 3 runs in DF to swear it off forever, I just dont have the patience for impatient asshats, its a game.

Even in friendly FCs people will afk/logout for the night to avoid doing low lvl content to help lowbies progress through content they've done multiple times, gotta wait for the nerfs if you don't have the play time to catch up, such is the speed which even casuals I have played with have polished off content.

It is what it is, you just keep moving forward.

I have to admit I've done this before. Not that I'm ever rude to anyone, but I did a couple of times have someone kicked from the party to accomodate a friend. I know it will come back and haunt me some day, but I just don't want to leave a buddy behind..

How about reporting abusive behaviour for once?

Try moving to Cactuar. People on my server are pretty friendly.

There are jerks like that on every server, but to be honest people who refuse people over gear like that are really bad players who like to surround themselves with higher-geared people to make up for what they are lacking. i75 is more than enough for t1 unless you are really bad.

CT gear doesnt mean anything. most of the CT runs I've been in are with kids who cry more than pay attention, and still complete it.

I've been playing MMORPG since 2006 (FFXI, wow, GW2, Aion and FFXIV) and it's the first time I see these type of behavior. It's something which is quite recent and I don't really know where it s coming from (or why).

I usually dont join those pt, but just want to say the lock gear come from 2.1 where ppl farm jewel and some ppl think it is ok for them to lock out gear because they make the pt (but the blame is the ppl who join that pt and support that kind of behavior) and the crap comment is from 2.0 where titan HM is the nightmare back in those day

If it is what it is, then u might aswell take a few lives with u and cause some casualties.
As long as you have a smile on ur face at the end of the day.
Also! If ur tired of not being able to clear content (i.e titan hm/ex laggy days ). Y not use that time and make gil and buy a clear cuz it'd make more sense to just get a clean run with a win rather than a bunch of hoohaas saying lag this and lag that.
Just wait for the day when 1vs1 is implented, then get ur revenge on those who have smitten u from such glorious victory.
You can still kill toxic ppl, you just need the right antidote; whether it be more poison or a little lala smooch on the forehead to calm them down :)

It sounds like you're just going through a run of bad luck with your groups. At least on my server there are PF groups looking for "learning people" and "experienced people" If you join the experienced people's group and constantly screw up, clearly you're not experienced, and are wasting everyone's time.

Getting kicked for "friends" or whatever does happen in every MMO, and that is just person to person.

Agreed, my friend and I setup NO MISTAKES T5 farming on PF because we're really tired of players making silly mistakes that wipes the entire party.

didnt expect such a similar response from the people who replied lol

it's just getting tiresome real fast, join learning groups and get grief for a mess up, join experienced groups get crap for a mess up, its just a never-ending cycle, as for the option of buying a run im strongly against it, i pay for the game so beating the content should be the challenge for me to exceed rather than pay someone to simply push me through it, of which then im only going to be lost since the further content will be just as hard as its predecessor. but. goes without saying its on most server i suppose. but i believe Malboro is one of the lower populated servers IIRC?
